ChellMann Week Day One: First Meeting

The noise startled her first, and it took a second for the deer to catch up. The sound was cold, mechanical, sharp. It was out of place here, on the surface. With her knuckles turning white and the metal of her bow digging into her skin, she moved toward it. No machinery greeted her at the meadow. There were no glowing eyes and no rattling voices -- only a man sleeping in the grass. An astronaut, lost.

Chellmann Week Day 3: Sacrifice

I really liked this piece; it’s a little more abstract and implied Chellmann than the others, but playing with brushes is fun.

ChellMann Week Day Four: Illness

She had scars. Not just the usual Aperture scars he shared, but strange, alien-looking marks. They came from an illness inflicted by that venomous black facehugger they had once encountered. Green at first, they turned red and faded over the week. He hoped this acid burn would heal just as well.

He told her about the Moon. It was a cold, hostile place. A dream come true. Absolute freedom and absolute captivity he had barely managed to escape. She smiled at him with the understanding of someone who had been there before.
