HC + food

Having spent both his childhood and young adulthood surrounded by nice things, Deacon grew accustomed to a certain level of class when it came to food; that being, he probably won’t eat it if it tastes bad.

That being said, he was never one to sit back and simply let the food be terrible. He learned how to cook early on, and the number of ways he learned to make something actually worth eating increased substantially after marrying Barbara. She shared just about everything she knew about working in the kitchen with him, and he’s always fond of getting to put that knowledge to good use. Even if he does talk about how he’s figured out how to do the things, Deacon always feels a little closer to her when he’s doing the things the used to do together– specifically, cooking.

Despite all that? He’s a goddamn sucker for a box of Fancy Lads.

   “Well it wasn’t my intention to be sneaky. I am simply cursed with small stature and quiet footfall.“ James replied, a level of sarcasm gracing his tone. After lightly rubbing his face he let his hand fall to gesture at the other man. “I suppose I should be apologizing, I didn’t intend to catch you off guard.“

   In a way he felt perhaps he should be counting himself as lucky. Wastelanders could be jumpy. He could have be stabbed or something if he’d done this to the wrong person.

The mercenary cranes a eyebrow at the man, “The fuck are you on about? And what if she fucking did?”

Ffamran raised an arm to display the difference in their heights, unused to seeing people so tall. Then again, being locked up below ground, one could consider him sheltered. “You’re fuckin’ huge, that’s what I’m on about.” Looked to be built too, but he didn’t want to get too close, fingers twitching in case there was danger and he had to move fast.
