Vacation with the family meant going to another country. No studying, or work. What you didn't expect was running into Professor Snape, your University Chemistry Professor. He seemed as surprised as you. You spoke until sunset while sharing couple of drinks, then one thing led to another...
Yandere Professor who spends his time either in the classroom, the lab, or his small apartment. Is he ever thinking about the grades or chemicals hes playing with? No, his mind is zeroed on you. And it's driving him crazy.
It was a difficult time for all Germans in America. The fourties were a time of war and destruction. Many Germans seen as a supporter of the wrong side despite their true beliefs. This was especially true for Patrick.
Coming to America as a professor in chemistry Patrick was extremely anti war. No matter how many times he told his students, faculty, and even the police he was still seen as a monster.
The only person who gave Patrick the time of day was you. A second year who was taking his class to get into a higher level chem class later that year.
Patrick didn't know why you were so kind to him. Did you know of the war that raged on across the pond? No matter why he was grateful. It was so simple how you showed your comfort around him. Simply saying good mornings and asking about his weekends.
"Did you get up to anything Professor Pohl?" He could feel a smile creeping on his face as he answered. He always smiled when you were around.
"Ah nein, just spent it grading papers" he said not looking up from the blank pages of paper on his podium. Patrick knew if he looked up he'd not be able to look away from you.
Cut to after class when you were the last person seated, still writing notes. Patrick was clicking closed his brief case. Trying to ignore how fast his heart was going being alone in the class with you. All he could hear was his heart beat and your pen on paper.
"I'm sorry Professor P, I just need to finish this sentence then I'll get out of your hair" Fredrich simply nodded and leaned against his desk as he watched you write.
It was far from common having a young lady so invested in Chemistry. He chuckled to himself thinking of you as the next Marie Curie. Apparently him laughing had caught your attention.
"Are you laughing at me Mr. P?" Patrick's face dropped as he waved his hands exclaiming multiple times he had in fact not been laughing at you "I was only teasing" you said cooly. Something that made his tan cheeks go red.
"Ja I knew that. Look at us joking around" Patrick said clearing his throat. The man clearly could not take a joke. Living in constant fear of being deported or worse had caused him to lose his ability to find the humour in life.
"I'll get out of your hair now, have a good rest of your day" the way you smiled so radiantly at him had Patrick's entire being shiver. Something you noticed. "Is it cold in here?" You asked him.
"Nein nein" he put his hands in his pockets "just a shiver" you nodded before waving and leaving. The man stood watching the door you had just walked out of. His heart aching. Why did he feel this way about you? Had Patrick become so lonely that his heart was stolen by someone ten years his junior?
No. There had to be more to it. Did you style your hair or apply your make up in a way that would lure him in? There must be a chemical imbalance inside Patrick. He couldn't simply be this enamoured naturally.
All he knew was that he had to have you. He had to study you. Fredrich needed answers and if you continued to prounce around with your beautiful lips and adorable outfits he was going to explode.
Next class was going to be your last. He was going to make sure of it.
most classes are online in my uni as of late but we still had to come in for tests. our organic chem professor wore a respirator (because, you know, we have those) so we had darth vader reminding us we had 5 minutes left to finish the test
My chemistry professor was handing me my quiz today and instead of giving it to me normally he snapped it at me.
At first I didn't know what was going on with him but as the class went on and as I interacted with him more I realized it was his way of being playful. As I would go up and ask him a question and he would pretend to scurry away and then only communicate through whisper (it's a bad habit I started to develop with him.. We will talk to each other through whispers). Today his actions were just so adorable... but unfortunately I couldn't just stare at him.
"Balancing equations is useless. Never in my professional career have I ever been given an unbalanced equation. Therefore, I will never make you balance one."
My chemistry professor giving me the best news of my entire life
