so I made this recently

I'm curious as to how the colours were produced

ingredients; clay, red clay, copper, steel, brass, glass

fired to over 1500c

ik transition metals can get funky but this is unexpected

This kid managed to answer  a chemistry question for a chemistry midterm AND answer the philosophical question of whether or not god exists, all in one fell swoop. And to top it off: IT WAS HILARIOUS. Who said geniuses aren't funny?

is parallax error a human error???

like if you mess up on reading the actual volume of water in a graduated cylinder due to not looking at it at eye level would that be considered a formal error with the lab or your fault?

I mean on one hand you can't really help seeing things a certain way bc of your eyes and the angle you look at them in but I feel like it would be your fault since you should actually be aware of the capacity of your eyes to make that mistake and so know to look at it at eye level?

I have a very important question.

How much does alcohol burn? Like, if you set a barrel of wine on fire what would happen? (I don't think there's enough alcohol in wine to make it burn enough). What about spirits? What would be the best type of alcohol to set alight if you wanted a big fire? Does any explode? And what alcohol do soldiers drink? Like, pirates drink rum, but is there a special alcohol associated with soldiers?

Basically if a (mythical, so burning) salamander got into your barracks how important would it be to keep it away from your alcohol store? Which alcohol would be the most dangerous? Would I have to use spirits and if so which ones?

You might not know, and if you do know this might not make sense anyway. But there is a reason behind this, even if it's kind of a weird question.
