- The opening song absolutely SLAPS

- Idk if this is popular opinion or not (I think I’m in the majority here) but this is actually one of my favorite episodes :DD

- Seeing Sam’s friend is so bittersweet :(

- Cute dog :D and nice storytelling tidbit

- Shapeshifters are so cool

- At this point, maybe I should start a counter for how many times I get distracted by Sam being cute :/

- The practical effects are really good. It’s so nasty I love it <3

- Clever test, Sam! Too bad it backfired oof

- Point one for the kidnapping counter! Resident damsel in distress /j /silly

- Jensen’s acting as the shifter is really fun. I love when he gets to be crazy lol

- Also yay for all the extra little insight into Dean’s deep seated personal issues via supernatural mind reading-ish whatever and taunting Sam

- This thing going on a murder spree and Dean still being able to compliment his own looks is a level of confidence I aspire to have

- It is really interesting exactly how human a shapeshifter is. I wish we’d gotten some more insight into that, but I guess it’s not important for the story lol

- I REALLY like the shape of that blade he used on Bekah (Becca?)

- Oh I love this scene!! It’s so gross!! Especially the teeth and fingernails

- The fact he changes BACK into Dean specifically to make torturing Sam more fun is just…beautiful lmao

Yippie!! I feel bad I don’t have too terribly much to say, yet again. We haven’t really gotten to the juicy story bits quite yet, so I’m going to blame that. But lots and lots of good, angsty character moments for our favorite brothers! We got a bit of Dean’s personal issues (via shapeshifter, but it counts) and Sam struggling with the whole “one foot in both worlds” thing that ONLY ends badly. At least it had a sweet ending

had my first shift today and had to ask one of the leaders smth and so she and one of the others were talking between themselves trying to figure it out for me and they kept saying "she" "her" and then like a minute into it the first leader sort of blinked and went "wait im sorry what are your pronouns?" and i just went "he/him 😐" AND THE LOOKS ON THEIR FACES 😭😭 i was trying so hard not to laugh bc i know what i look and sound like so i just said "its okay, i know im pretty" (my go-to response when i get misgendered) and we were able to laugh it off but. it was very funny to me the way they looked horrified

So today is my problem brother’s birthday. He and I haven’t spoken in about 3 years. I’m feeling conflicted cause there’s a big part of me that wants to reach out and extend an olive branch but there’s also a part of me that feels like this would be a mistake. I don't particularly like him but he's my brother, I love him and I really hate how things ended. On top of that, my elderly parents blame me for the schism (my two eldest siblings have my back) and it seems like they want to get everyone together for their 50th anniversary. So once again I feel like I have to be the one to repair the family even though I'm not responsible for the conflict or the family dysfunction. I tried to be the good son and it wasn't enough. Now I'm questioning the wisdom of striving so hard to be the good daughter.
