So I’m writing this month! Terrible timing, really, since I have to move at the end of the month, but both @trulycertain‘s rewrite challenge and @thievinghippo‘s creativity challenge are happening in May, and I can’t pass that up.

I’m working on a modern Wonderland/Oz crossover. When Dorothy Gale is locked out of Oz, she turns to renowned monster hunter Alice for help. But when the Wizard and the Jabberwock team up to take over both their worlds, can the two women stop them in time?

I’m 238 words in so far. Not great, considering my goal is 10k by the end of the month, and I expect the whole thing to be over 60k when it’s finished, but I’ll get there!

Thank you! I do like the premise and much of the world I came up with, but let’s just say that I wouldn’t want anyone to see what I actually wrote during that Camp Nano. And I suppose 10k seems modest because the last time I worked on this, I did 30k in a month and wasn’t even halfway done with it. Of course, that was an exceptional situation, but this project is huge compared to what I’m used to, and 10k feels like a drop in the bucket.
