Cherish Curious always dreamed of being a good wife and mother—and for a long time, that was enough. She devoted herself to her family, offering her children, Bunny & Notzo, a warm and steady presence even as her husband Marshall Curious struggled under the weight of his scientific discoveries and descended into alcoholism. When Marshall’s career took a downturn, Cherish stepped in to support the household by working as a substitute teacher. What began as a necessity quickly became her passion, and though she never imagined herself in the classroom, she came to love teaching just as deeply as she loved her family.

Now an elder, she lives with her children, Bunny & Notzo Curious, daughter-in-law, Zo, and grandson, Glarn, having outlived the man who caused her both pain and joy. She misses him in her own quiet way, but there’s a gentle relief in the stillness that followed his passing. Her days are slower now, filled with family dinners and soft memories. Though her time may be drawing to a close, her influence is lasting—felt in every lesson she taught and in the love she poured into the next generation.
