As many (or most...or some) of you know, kiddo is attending her sophomore year at UNLV in Las Vegas, so you can only IMAGINE how my heart sunk this morning when I woke up and saw the news of the horrific shooting in Las Vegas... 💫 I started calling and texting at approximately 6 AM (eastern time) this morning about 1x an hour hoping kiddo would pick up the phone or answer any text....she FINALLY texted me back at almost noon eastern time to let me know that she was OK and safe (and was sleeping)!! 💫 The amount of anxiousness and worry that I had is indescribable... I can only guess it's what she felt back in 2013 when she was trying to reach me after the Boston marathon bombing to make sure I was OK... 💫 So tonight I count my blessings and thank God that she is safe and sound! 💫 And I pray for all of the families who lost loved ones, for the people who who were injured and for the first responders who walked into the danger in an attempt to help save others!! 💫 Hug your loved ones a little tighter tonight... Tell them you love them... Don't miss a moment!
