'Silence of senses' was amazing sweetheart. It was so hot yet at some points I couldn't help but bust out laughing. You did an awesome job and the prompt of the tank was so fucking original, I wish you would share those creative juices of yours. Quick question though, how do you write 'attractive' smut? I have never written it before but I want to do it correctly and not have it be cringy in any way. Love you sweetheart 💗💗💗
This ask made me smile so much, I really appreciate it and I’m glad you enjoyed the story. :)
Sex is a funny and awkward thing. There’s weird noises, strange movements, and if you can’t laugh at yourself and have fun with it, there’s no point. I always try to mix some comedy into everything I write (unless it’s pure angst, which I rarely write). The more realistic it is, the more people will relate to it. Not everyone can pleasure their partner like a trained porn star right out of the gate. Have your character give directions, show the other person what they like... that is something that happens in real life and is completely normal.
To me, there’s two types of smut. There’s flowy smut and dirty smut. Silence of Senses is more of a flowy smut. There’s really no dialogue, and it’s all basically descriptive words about what the reader is feeling and what’s being done to her. Dirty smut is more harsh, words like cock and pussy, and more vulgarity in the descriptions. Like:
Flowy smut: The way her body arched under his touch made his arousal swell even more, and when he explored her sex with his gentle hands, her mind slipped away into pure bliss.
Dirty smut: Her back arched painfully, making his cock harden even more, pressing against the material of his jeans. His fingers worked further down, sliding through the folds of her pussy, making her tremble under his touch.
Can you see the difference? It’s all about preference. Some people stay away from words like cock, fuck, pussy, etc... while others pepper them throughout a smut scene to give it an extra umph.
All you need to do is find your niche. Don’t let anyone else tell you how to write, but allow others to influence and inspire you. The very first smut scene I wrote took me SEVEN HOURS to get through, and it was barely 5 paragraphs (and still very cringey when I go back and read it).
Practice, have fun with it. You’ll get there, don’t worry. :)
