Since the writers only made Ash the “dead girlfriend causing a fight between bros” here are some headcanons since the writers never did (and never will do) anything to prove them wrong:
Ash has escaped an abusive relationship.
She’s lost an aboriginal friend to suicide (hence her reaction to Blair cutting Koen’s wrist).
After leashing out at Kora, she apologized to her.
Ash also explained “love” to Kora; she got a kiss in return.
Ash is pan and she is attracted to “genuinely nice people”.
She has rescued several cats from the streets, and The Couch is actually full of them (drunk girls love petting them).
Ash dyed her hair red after escaping the abusive relationship, to remind herself that she’s stronger than her demons.
When Koen and Blair are about to fight she always steps between them and stops any fight from happening.
Ash is the one to take the spiders and other insects out.
When Ash is in the bar there is never a problem with drunk guys; they just behave well when she’s around.
Ash can do tattoos and piercings, also she made her lip-piercing herself.
She has an incredibly high pain-tolerance.
She plays the guitar and sometimes writes songs.
Ash regularly helps girls when they have a problem with a gross dude at the bar.
Ash is also a registered nurse and she’s got a talent for learning languages; so far she has learned ten.
