Black Forest Mini Cakes
Mini cheesecakes with cherry compote ^_^
Hii I'm sure you get this all the time but i just read your yandere!Raylan fics and I'm in love. I love your writing style! I was doing a rewatch of Justified at the same time as I read your fics and I just have to ask what you think yan!Raylan would think of Boyd in the later seasons (somehow, if Raylan came back later or something- this is just entirely wish fulfillment for me so I'm sure it makes no sense 😭). I yearn for them 😞
Hello! That is so sweet, I am so glad you like my yandere series! I don't really get it all the time, haha, so thank you for telling me! I'm glad you like my style! I'm glad my voice resonates with you :D
Ohhhhhh, what a fun question! To be honest, I think Raylan's reaction is *much* the same. Boyd still hasn't left Harlan in any substantial way, which means Raylan assumes Boyd didn't want to avoid capture. He is just so sure Boyd still loves him. I think later seasons Boyd, however, I think *he* is very different than Pilot Boyd. He's gotten himself in so much more trouble, and I think he has a sort of desperation that makes him fight harder and stronger against Raylan in the beginning. This certainly isn't a Boyd that Raylan will allow to drown him in a bathtub for *much* longer.
This Boyd is so much more aware of what his freedom is or could be, and I think he also isn't *bored* in a way that Raylan can capitalize on as he did in my series.
Ultimately, though, I think yandere Raylan is cut out for the challenge. The fact remains Boyd didn't appropriately run from him while he had the chance, and Raylan is going to spend the rest of their lives together reminding Boyd who he belongs too.
Another difference is, I think Boyd bites Raylan *a lot* when he's trying to escape. I think Raylan makes him swallow whatever chunks he takes out. I think this helps settle Boyd more than he wants to admit, because this cannibalism is so much easier to blame on himself than Raylan's soups and such.
In terms of everything else, it is actually even easier at this point to frame Boyd's disappearance on him fleeing from the law. I don't think he becomes as close to Rachel and Tim or even Loretta, though, because he has much more of his plate full with Boyd.
Port Cherry Compote
It might be difficult to pit, freeze and save a few cups of cherries at the height of Summer, when they are ripe, juicy and delicious; but if you do, then you can make this delicious Port Cherry Compote in March --you can also absolutely buy frozen cherries!
Ingredients (makes about a cup):
1 cup frozen cherries of your liking (i prefer juicy dark cherries)
1/4 cup good quality White Port
In a small saucepan, combine frozen cherries and White Port.
Bring to a slow boil over medium heat.
Then, reduce the heat to low, cover with a lid, and simmer, about 15 minutes, until the cherries have collapsed and their juice slightly thickened.
Serve Port Cherry Compote onto Greek Yoghurt, Ice Cream, Crêpes or Pancakes!
This weekend I made cherry cream cheese danishes!
Recipe was from the cook book called Dessert Person by the lovely Claire Saffitz.
I told my significant other he could pick the first recipe I make since he got it for me :) of course the first one was a touch more intricate than I’m used to.
There is definitely room for improvement but here’s my first try !!!
