Description: Kaoru didn't want you to see him like this, and he didn't want to see you so hurt either.

Kaoru was stressed, incredibly stressed.
He loved you, he really did. But he didnt want you here, not right now.
The timer made a loud noise as it starts going off, people shouting and yelling, it made Kaoru sick.
He had been training so long, waiting for the beef with Adam.
Having you here, having to see it, was not something he wanted.
You ran towards him as the timer ticks down to zero. He looks back before looking at you with a huff.
"Why are you here? I told you not to come"
The smile on your face was almost instantly gone.
Kaoru had told you not to come, he knew how the beefs with Adam went, if that were to happen to him, it wasnt something he wanted you to see.
Yet here you were.
"I wanted to come by and see you, i thought you would be happy"
"You know what we talked about-"
"Do you just think im weak, Koaru."
Silence.
"That tells me everything, thanks" You spat out sarcastically.
As soon as he's about to speak up, the yells over others finally hit him again.
He looks back at the big screen and seen his name, it's officially time for his beef with Adam.
Before he can tell you anything else he's dragged away, looking back at you he tries to stop the people from dragging him away but Adam grabs him by the back of his clothes and brings him to the start of the race.
Kaoru's heart starts racing, and it's not because of the beef.
He knew he had hurt you, and there was nothing he could do to reassure you that's not what he meant. At least not right now.
He tried his best to break off of Adam and his friends tried to help him but the crowd only started to circle around Adam and Kaoru.
Once again the clock starts ticking.

Kaoru rushes forward immediatly giving Carla instructions and questions.
If he couldn't leave early, he'd have to end it early instead.
He tried his best to pay attention and win against Adam but nothing was working, he could only think about you.
Kaoru started to lose his balance, lose his mind completely. He wasn't there in the moment, his brain felt like it was fogged up. Never had he made you this upset, there was never a time where you guys weren't able to talk it out.
So this was a new experience, and not one he was hoping to ever have to go through.
But it had happened, and now he didn't know what to do.
Kaoru tries to pay attention to the race, to anything but the thoughts of you. And it somehow worked, but not for long. Soon Adam's voice interrupts Kaoru from his thinking.
"You seem awfully quite today, what is it, are you tongue tied?"
Kaoru only looks ahead as he takes a swift turn, looking at the hill up ahead.
"Cherry, you really never know how to entertain me, fine, guess I'll do it myself. I wanted this race over as fast as possible anyways."
Adam grabs his skateboard before running up in front of 'Cherry' and slamming the boad right into his face.
White.
That's all Kaoru saw as he fell back.
His head hits the dirt and he immediately feels pain course through his whole body.
He fought to stay awake but it barely works.
Kaoru defenetly had a concussion, the hit to the face plus the additional blow to the back of his head? It was too much.
His whole body went limp as he heard silence before he hears the rolling of skateboards and footsteps running towards his body.
"Kaoru!" You yell and as he opens his eyes he sees you and your hands going to grab his face.
As soon as he felt your hands on him, the pain felt like it stopped.
His head didn't hurt anymore but his heart did, tears pricked the corner of your eyes as you try to wake him up. He tried his best to keep his eyes open but be couldn't anymore.
Black.
Everything goes dark before he opens his eyes again and is met with roof of a hospital, his eyes trying to adjust to the bright light.
The door opens as you set foot into the room.
The smile on his face quickly is wiped away as he looks at you closely, you looked so tired and done.
He was happy that you were the first person he could see, but as soon as all the memories came flooding back in, it hurt him.
Kaoru's mouth opens and closes, he doesn't know what to do.
You only bring in a wheelchair before helping him up into the chair, not a word is said.
Not even as the two of you check out, or the ride home.
As soon as the door to your house was shut you take him towards the couch and help him sit.
He didn't want to say anything, he felt ashamed.
Even when you went to the bathroom and looked for things to clean his wounds, he only looked at the ground.
You tilt his head up as you clean some wounds on his face.
"Why" you ask sternly as you keep cleaning his wounds.
He hesitates.
"I...I didn't want you to see me like, well, this."
You hum, telling him to keep going.
"I know how beefs with Adam go, I would have rather you stayed home and then I came back"
"If I wasn't there you wouldn't have even come home in one piece, Kaoru."
You sigh as you try to keep your composure, you knew he meant well but you just hoped he saw why you were there in the first place.
Kaoru's balls his palms into fists as he looks down again.
"Im sorry, I shouldn't have acted that way before the race especially not towards you. You just wanted to encourage me and I blew it. Please forgive me, I don't want us to fight. But I hope you know why I wanted you home instead of there"
"I know Kaoru, let's just listen to eachother next time okay? We can come to an agreement, and that way things like this don't happen"
You pull a strand of his hair out of his face as he lifts his head up.
Grabbing his chin, you pull him into a kiss. Just a few small kisses as he still had some cuts on his lips.
You pull away but Kaoru grabs a hold of you wanting to pull you into at least one more kiss.
"Kaoru that's enough honey, you need to rest"
"But I just want you"
"You should want rest instead, you have me already anyways" you say with a smile as he nuzzles his head into your neck.
