Just some personal art. I wanted to make some clothes with these one them but idk how to even start. I tried TeeSpring and it immediately got taken down for “content concerns”. Idk what could be concerning since I drew both of these myself and they’re not inappropriate. It wasn’t even explained why it was taken down. Oh well, I guess.

Protecting the New Space

I've officially been home for a week (yay!) and I still don't have everything as organized as I would like it to be. Which is due mostly in part to a bookcase that my mum bought me that is ridiculously impossible to assemble according to the directions and that is frustrating me beyond belief. What's most frustrating is that I am itching to organize my spell supplies, stones/crystals, incense, and herbs and set up my altar.

Since I haven't laid down a great amount of protection and whatnot yet, and since my room is finally liveable, I decided to take some decent measures tonight.

First and foremost, I put my dream catcher out and cleansed it by focusing all my energy on releasing all memories and nightmares from my old space to make better room for the time spent here. It is now resting away from the head of my bed with my quartz on it to fully cleanse it.

Next, I put up a pouch charm that I made a few months ago to capture the liveliness, awareness, clarity, and positivity of Spring time. There's a few clovers, a daffodil head, sage, rosemary, some purple bell flowers, sea salt, a chip of blood stone, and some green wax inside it. I put it right next to my door so that I will always have something to remind me to be aware and open. I'm also hoping that it helps to repel negative energy from entering my room and encouraging it to exit my room.

Then I drew three different sigils of protection (in the air with a good amount of energy focused into them) upon my door. I spread the sigils round my entire room to better lay my foundations here.

After that I placed my large crystal ball near the window and attached it to the grid of the sigils. My smaller crystal ball is on the other side of the room surrounded by sea salt, my shell that serves as an offering plate, opalite, snakeskin jasper, and a desert rose quartz. On the outer ring of it is my gold chain headband (placed there to retrieve the positive energy and insight from the stones and the crystal ball, that way I can be more connected to it and aware of things when I wear it), my amethyst cluster, a chunk of selenite to give me better control over the energy in the room, and what is basically a wand that I use to draw sigils and other symbols on myself.

Last but not least, I placed my tall bright yellow candle on my dresser with a compact mirror open so that two reflections of the candle stand behind it. I did this to bring in clarity, a sense of awareness, openness to positive energy, and better insight and interpretation of messages in my dreams, random feelings in my head or gut, and signs that I may have seen but not recognized.

I hope that these steps that I have taken will serve as great protection and power for my new space. May they keep me open to the energies that surround me and strong enough to interpret them properly and act accordingly.

Playing to my strengths

New home, new start, new adventure.

Not so new need for a new job.

This time around, I've decided that I'm going to play completely to my strengths and find a job that makes me happy AND makes me money. I've already started scoping out the LGBTQ+ - friendly areas to visit, gauge, and potentially apply to. I'm also researching any pagan spots in the area. Other than that, I'm going to stick with trying to find my place at makeup counters, potentially cashier positions (even though I absolutely loathe being a cashier), and maybe even an associate at a new age space, who knows?

Meanwhile, I'm also going to keep up my modeling as best as I can. I want to establish myself and find some actual paid work somehow. And I want to better promote my personal business with my aura readings, energy work, guided meditation, tarot readings, and massages. (I also make charms, but I don't know if I'm totally up to making them for other people's uses.)

All I can really do is stick to my strengths, play my best cards, keep looking forward, and hope for the best. Wish me luck?

Spell Supplies I Can't Live Without

Sea salt - I use it all the time for purification, protection, cleansing (especially for new stones), casting stronger circles, etc.

Ocean water - The ocean is where I find the most peace and strength, so having its waters with me keeps me feeling grounded. It really helps when I'm feeling anxious

Sea shells (notice a pattern?) - Again, anything that comes from the beach helps me to draw upon the power and sense of peace that I find when near or in the ocean. Shells are really good for long distance spells and for grounding. I also use shells for holding offerings sometimes

Bay leaves - I use them for stronger and clearer intentions as well as an extra defense against negativity

Twine (preferably hemp) - Because it's more natural, it helps when a spell requires binding or knots

White tea light candles - Whether I'm casting a visible circle, meditating, burning bay leaves, or casting a spell, one tea light can go a long way

Sage - Though I don't get to burn it often, it relaxes me and it's soooo good for purification and the cleansing of others energy and auras

Rosemary - I add this to spells a lot for an extra boost of protection, vitality, and positive energy

I use a lot more than just these items, but these are seriously the things that I keep on my person at nearly all times. I don't like not having my supplies with me, cause I never know when I'm going to feel the need to do some complex energy or spell work. Of course, anything can be utilized for energy and spell work; material things are not 100% necessary, they just help the process a bit, especially for people like me who are tactile and visual learners. :)

Beltane is tomorrow (Thursday) so today (as in later when I wake up again) I'm going to be preparing an offering to take to the creek and bestow upon the spirits there. I will also be cleansing my personal space and my body, bathing in the powerful energy that the day brings. I'm looking forward to it. :)
