Hey sorry to bug you, I have a question that google isn't helping with that maybe you or your followers could answer? Someone is telling me Tarot reading is appropriative of Romani culture. I like to think I'm proactive in knowing which spiritual practices are open or closed, as well as anti Romani racism, & I know modern witchcraft is Constantly appropriating all sorts of African, Asian, & Indigenous practices, but this is the first I've ever heard of Tarot reading being a closed practice (1/2)

AFAIK, Tarot comes from card games, & reading playing cards, oracle decks, numerology, etc, has scattered roots throughout various cultures & practices in history, & none have ever been closed practices. Google surprisingly has alot of articles about Anti Romani & Traveler racsim, but none of them talk about Tarot outside of racial caricatures. However, I understand if my own research is limited? Since anti romani racism isn't exactly common knowledge. I appreciate any input you may have (2/2)

Wow...as a writer, you have no idea how meaningful that is to hear. 😭 Thank you so much for reading my fics for him. I'd argue there are a TON of people here on Tumblr and on AO3 who understand Rolan's character more deeply than I do! But I will admit, I am completely smitten with him nevertheless. He just won't stop bouncing around in my head. Very grateful there are people who will read the scenarios I put Rolan in!
