Reposting this horrendous Cherudim sketch because this is going to be some quick lore rambles concerning his development and his relationship with the Dylandy brothers
- First of all, he’s the entire Dynames line. Started as Dynames and ended as Zabanya (Repair 3 rn is another entity). So unlike Exia, who got sidelined because of 00R / 00Q, he saw the entire plot happen.
- He started out being very similar to Neil, being the older sibling type that guided a young Exia on her way around missions and life as a whole. But since he let Neil do most of that stuff, he was normally in the background quietly observing how everyone got along and mediated any conflicts among the gijinka.
- Also specialised in engineering (mainly weapons) so actually spent most of his time in the hangar with Lasse and Ian instead
- Just barely survived Operation Fallen Angels with a mangled eye, missing leg and neck scars from the beheading. His vision has permanently worsened in one eye (likely his right). He lost the same leg vs Revive so that’s just a prosthetic now.
- goes both ways for both siblings, he filled a spot that was left behind. A Lyle for Neil, and a Neil for Lyle. Of course he’s not an actual replacement, but in both cases there was a sibling dynamic, with Cherudim being the voice of reason each time
- Went into a heavy grieving period when he died, but forced himself to move on after a while because CB was in shambles and needed everything they could get. By then it was only him and Nadleeh left-Exia went missing and Kyrios died.
- He knew about Lyle’s existence through Neil’s ramblings. Neil left him with his final words to pass along to Lyle.
- Cherudim definitely acted brotherly, but was a bit distant out of fear of losing Lyle too. He relaxed over time and let himself get attached by the end of S2.
- Constantly apologises for not being in the best shape. Lyle told him to stop.
- Rather apprehensive about Anew and wasn’t all that surprised with what eventually happened. He was off in the background preparing for what to say and do when the situation did explode.
- Ended up having a serious conversation with Lyle the night after and that was when he passed along Neil’s final words. Whatever Lyle did afterwards was entirely on himself, Cherudim never liked being too pushy anyways.
-Finally relaxed during and after AWOT, talks to Lyle a lot more casually compared to the previous semi casual / somewhat formal speech. Lyle is stuck listening to his gossip tho, Cherudim has a hard time shutting up about anything.
- traumatised by that one time Graham called him Sleeping Beauty. He gets along with him fine but dreads the conversation going back to that moment. Often tells him to chill out because Ham was being too overzealous.
That’s about it for now. UHHHH if there’s any updates, it’ll likely be when he gets a dedicated ref.
