sawyer had never been to pride, but it was something he’d always dreamed of. when the kids back home would call him names and push him around like he was nothing, he’d think of the day he could be himself proudly and openly without fear of rejection or humiliation. sometimes he felt like that day would never come, but it had, and he now found himself surrounded by all the colors of the rainbow and the kind people of the town he now called home. sure, some insecurity still lingered in the back of his mind, but with the trans pride flag wrapped around him like armour and his face adorned with rainbow decals, he finally felt like the person he was always meant to be.
“where are we headed again?” sawyer asked, jogging a little to keep pace with his company. he was so ready to get completely wrapped up in pride, but seeing as though he’d never done this before, he needed a little guidance.
