There is a legal strategy known as the “Chewbacca defense” which means trying to confuse the jury by presenting large amounts of irrelevant information. The name came from an episode of South Park that parodied the closing argument of the O.J. Simpson trial.

En el escenario emo internacional, Francia se ha destacado desde el principio como tierra de influyentes bandas con un sonido propio y un contenido lirico político-social. En la actualidad se mantiene la tradición de la escuela emo francesa y entre los grupos que más han destacado en los últimos años resalta Chaviré. Tienen su origen en la ciudad de Nantes. Su sonido, si bien único, recibe gran influencia de sus coterráneos Daitro y Amanda Woodward. Han estado tocando en diferentes ciudades de Europa, lo que les ha valido para ganar reconocimiento rápidamente.  A Finales del 2015 presentaron su primer LP “Des Bruits Qui Restent“ via Stonehenge Records, un disco altamente recomendable que contiene excelentes temas como “Des Bruits Qui Restent” y “Je Suis Cioran”. Este artículo sin embargo está dedicado a su último trabajo presentado hace casi un mes nuevamente a través de Stonehenge Records. “Interstices” se presenta como una excelente continuación del primer trabajo tanto en el concepto como en los sonidos. La estructura musical y las melodías logran transmitir el pesimismo del mensaje. Al mismo tiempo presenta pasajes dinámicos que animan a entrar en movimiento. Hay una mezcla de simbolismos, poesía y crítica directa a determinados aspectos de la vida, en particular me llamo la atención como ven el urbanismo, la opresión y los contrastes en ciudades como Nantes y Barcelona. El disco propone la búsqueda de intersticios, pequeños espacios en los cuales adaptarse y desde ahí resistir. Piezas recomendables: “Partir, Rester”, “Nous Contre Nous” y “Barcelone”.

So I'm watching that People Vs. OJ Simpson miniseries. Is it bad that whenever I see Johnnie Cochran appears on screen, all I can think of is the Chewbacca Defense?
