An old Ericka + Herriman interaction I did. I kinda figure Ericka having grown up with Van Helsing and being a walking break of the rules of her franchise, these two would clash ALOT. Esoecially seeing how he treats Frankie having been treated the same way by Van Helsing.
I don't personally HATE Mr. Herriman, but he's not my FAVORITE character in the series. Push comes to shove, He means well. And his relationship with Madame Foster is sweet (and potentially a little heartbreaking, considering some Headcanons) but he can be a bit of a judgy jerkish snob and wet blanket. Plus, of course...it's always fun to throw the put-together control freaks out of their element. XD
Ericka understands that rules are important. And like Drac, she's very put-together and wants things done right. But to her; people, fun, and/or getting things done are more important than rules/order (Example: Compare the monsterball game in HT3 with the pool scene in HT1.) And doesn't seem to have Drac's NEED to be in control/ontop of everything. She ENJOYS being in control, is VERY stubborn and chafes when told what to do. But she's better able to go with the flow than Drac. Plus...She was created to shake up not only Count Control-Freak, but one of the biggest rules of the franchise as well. Her existence is a big flashing "Yeah, right!" sign. Not only that, she grew up under strict traditions and expectations raised by someone who...was also an uptight by-the-book man with a big ego. So even without the whole thing with Frankie and Bloo, Ericka and Herriman are going to butt heads sometimes. Him not giving Frankie much respect - or help - and his unfair treatment of Bloo just make things worse since...she's been there in a way. Thankfully, she's also really good at handling that type...both in terms of pacifying and driving them nuts.
