He disliked being paired with anyone that wasn't Ava or even anyone that wasn't on the team when they fought against the Void and saved Bob. They all had become really close like a tight knit family. Every other hero they worked with refused or complained to Bucky about working with John. John heard them every time too. They didn't know that the serum had increased a lot of things on John including his ability to hear.

He'd get depressed for days after and would stay quiet instead of finding something to complain about and his team would feel bad and even try to cheer him up, well mostly Ava and Yelena. Bob wasn't sure how to help, while Bucky and Alexei were just awkward around about it all.

He looks at her and then down at her hand as he chews on a protein bar, since Ava said it was healthier than him always eating cereal. "...Hi." He says after swallowing the bite in his mouth. He could tell she didn't want to be around him longer than she had to. "I'm John." He nods at her, taking another bite.
