you think so?? i think the villains are there to help develop his characterization too. if anything, the show dismisses them too easily?

i guess more specifically i mean that i don't need so much backstory about one-offs. and i don't need long scenes about this villain meeting with his target's head of security that's unnecessary i don't care how he's gonna kill the dude only that he is.

so far, the other metahumans haven't done anything to further barry's characterization imo. like, i get the "look at these people who use their powers for bad things and here's barry doing good things" but to me it feels like that's all they're saying and that they could be saying that and more in much better ways

i dunno, the show's young, it'll take it a while to find its groove. i hope it finds a good one

all this to say i think basically we're saying the same thing just in opposite ways xD

It looked kind of lame tbh

this episode kinda was. but it's got a really cool relationship between a father figure and our hero which i love and the pilot was pretty good, if rushed and i totally love that it has people of color as main characters

i just really hope it ditches the tired superhero show formula soon. it'll be better once it does
