"we're just a bunch of teenagers"
(listen)
I young volcanoes fall out boy ; II urami no riin (the chime of grudges yasuharu takanashi ; III tomorrow's money my chemical romance ; IV take the heartland glen hansard ; V on the lam jeremy zuckerman ; VI teenagers my chemical romance ; VII i lived my life to stand in the shadow of your heart a place to bury strangers ; VIII immigrant song karen o ft trent reznor atticus ross ; IX bully three days grace ; X fight club lorne balfe ; XI psycho puddle of mud ; XII the 2nd law - unsustainable muse
A mix for the young rebels of Republic City, the children of the revolution, Amon's prodigies and the kids who just wanted to make a difference.
I think these guys are way cool so I painted them. :)
Thumbs up if you love equality! Another killer set of Chi-blockers. Bonus points for the goggle detail.
I'm sorry to play favorites, but these two were my favorite. So cool.
The Missing Plot: Korra's First Chi-Blocking Fight
In 'The Revelation' Korra fights her first chi-blocker and gets her ass handed to her.
The chase and fight, which lasts a good two minutes, especially since Korra fights one chi-blocker in a long, engaging person on person fight, gives the impression that we are introduced to a secondary villain. Yet we never see this specific chi-blocker again, nor is there a re-match, or does Korra even learn how to defend herself against chi-blockers in general.
Missed opportunity: Asami is trained in the same fighting style, yet her training Korra, is neither mentioned nor shown.
Legend of Korra Chi Blockers Theory
At the conclusion of Avatar the Last Airbender, Ty Lee joined the Kioshi warriors "and after a few chi blocking lessons they said [she] could join their group".
NOW, in the Legend of Korra, the Chi-blockers are very apparent but the Kioshi warriors (a major part of Aang's team) are gone.
Sooo...what happened to the Kioshi warriors? Did Ty Lee corrupt them from the inside out? Was she so upset that Azula would have used her bending to hurt Mai and herself that she began harbouring a grudge against all benders? Are the Equalists/Chi-blockers the remains of the Kioshi warriors? Did Amon put a fire under their butts to become a formidable force? We just don't know.
