She hasn't visited London since her parents died, and wants to go there again. Even as a business trip. She needs more friends.

Her favorite besides shepherd's pie is good ol' fish and chips. While normally she doesn't eat fried food often, she'll eat this one in a heartbeat with zero shame. It's her father's genes.

No, she doesn't call people 'mate' when she speaks English, even if it's the norm. She finds it too informal.

She's visited lots of other cities in England, but only briefly.

She has an innate dislike for accents she CANNOT understand for the life of her (both English and Japanese). Makes her poor brain hurt. God. Speak normally.

Gouto wasn’t the only one who was somewhat surprised to see a teenager present during an investigation, certainly one associated with the police. The summoner himself was perplexed, though not as outwardly forthcoming nor blatant. The cat’s meows were viewed as little else, just a talkative feline accompanying the black clad student. They fell on deaf ears, all but the single individual who could decipher them. The ancient being’s tone felt a little skeptical. His sentiments weren’t shared. While some bystanders observed the scene, Raidou’s bright eyes were honed on the teen. His mind was working, devising a plan.

This scene felt connected to the case he had been assigned, one which had caught the attention of those who lingered in the shadows, unseen. Disappearances, a death. It felt suspicious. Supernaturally so. As such, the Devil Summoner had been dispatched outside of his jurisdiction to investigate. And seeing as the local authorities were tightlipped about the whole affair, the boy had to consider other avenues of obtaining information. Where the abilities of his demons might have aided him in some ways, there was an easier way to go about it. He hoped he could find an opening to speak with that young detective.

📊 How much research do you do for your threads (if any)?

Way too much, if I’m honest.

I like accuracy, so I tend to make sure that I have at least some idea of what I’m talking about. This isn’t for an rp, but for example; I once was writing a zombie apocalypse fic. In order to get a better picture in my mind of the hospital where the character woke up from and the path he would take to get home, I studied the route through the city in question extensively to come up with an exact setting. All just to get one guy from point A to point B. Muse inspo.

I’ve written as a small collection of Sengoku warlords and became a semi-historian by accident. (Apparently I’m not the only one. It’s a popular pastime in Japan in some circles.) I wrote as a detective for a while and ended up looking pretty deeply into forensics. Thankfully, this was already an interest of mine, since I considered becoming a medical examiner as a career choice in my youth. Needless to say, sometimes I wing it, and sometimes I go deep. If I feel I’m uneducated on a necessary subject, I’ll do a bunch of research. I did some decent research for my Raidou blog as well. Mostly about Shinto beliefs, since I was already familiar with Youkai and Onmyodou.

Silly thought, but have you ever had one of those moments when you're Googling something for a writing project and feel like you have to put in the search “Don’t worry. I’m a writer” so the algorithm doesn’t get you on some kind of watchlist? Also just to preface, in preparation for this blog, I have not been binging NBC’s Hannibal. (Joke haha.)
