watching the svu ep chicago crossover and WHAT IS THIS😭 like why was this so poorly filmed / edited? you have erin & jay right behind this dude, all three of them are running sooooooooo slowly, clearly close enough to speed up and catch him but just not doing so AND there’s no intersection in sight, and then all of a sudden crash???

Rewatching season 16 ep 7 of Law & Order SVU, the Chicago crossover, and I just needed to talk about something real quick.

In the scene where Jay is talking about how the case is a brutal one for Erin, that she had it rough growing up & she’s the toughest cop he knows, the way Rollins & Amaro just sorta glance at each other with this look, like they know there’s something more between him and Erin and how he immediately jumps on the defensive saying “it’s not like that. We work together” is so classic, because it literally proves that it takes all of 5 seconds to know that those two are sooo whipped for each other no matter how much they try to hide / deny it😂.

But then it gets even better!! The way Rollins & Amaro all but jump up their own asses to defend it / deny it like “we get it.” “Totally”, all while knowing full well that what they were insinuating / assuming is happening between Erin & Jay is tooootally what’s happening between themselves, I swear is literally the funniest irony!

Then when the camera pans back to Jay as they all like suuuper awkwardly get back to what they were doing as if they didn’t just sorta drop hints that both pairs have the hots for their partners, and he just has that little smile on his face, like he got away with the best lie ever, is literally the icing on the cake😂.

Okay, I’m done now, I just wanted to talk about it because the entire episode’s storyline is a pretty horrific one and I just love the way they still managed to bring some light & humour & ship-based stuff to the episode🤷‍♀️.

....and basically, I just miss Linstead☹️.
