As happy as I am to see Jay and Hailey again. I was actually more happy thinking offscreen he got back together with Erin

Yeah, idk. I don’t really care about Jay or his character tbh. He’s a pretty boy by nature. I’m sure he would’ve suddenly fallen in love with Imani if he had stayed so 🤷‍♀️

I wish they’d brought Antonio back instead. I think this is mostly a ploy because A, they brought Will and Natalie back to Med so they have an excuse, and B, everyone loved Jay and Hailey and apparently “stopped watching” or “were free” after Hailey left (idk why they didn’t just quit watching if they hated it so much beforehand?). It’s mostly for views/shock factor.

Again, Antonio would’ve been a better choice to bring back, plot-wise. I don’t know what the plot is around Jay and Hailey being there besides potentially Jay visiting his brother and Hailey being part of the FBI investigation of whatever happened in the crossover (seems like a bombing or something in the hospital, which is tbh a tired plot).

Nevertheless, eh. It’s mostly for shock factor. Even if Jay and Hailey aren’t together in this (I didn’t see any indication immediately in the trailer) and they leave together at the end or whatever, it’s all fan service to those fans they “lost” or whatever. I don’t really care tbh.

Fourteen days. No word. No message. No call. Just silence.

Erin was unraveling. Cass tried to help—distracting her with Broadway, baby plans, pizza, anything to keep her from breaking. But every night, Erin curled up with Detective Chuckles, whispering a prayer she was scared no one could hear:

“Please be okay, Jay.”

And then… 📱 “Hey babe… still remember me?”

A breath. A sob. A trembling video call. He’s alive. He’s tired. And he missed her.

But the light in his eyes? Dimmed. The smile? Fragile. And under the teasing… Erin can feel it—he’s not okay.

So she pushes. She listens. She fights to keep them in the light.

Until the truth comes out: 🧠 A mission that changed him. 🧸 A bear that’s seen too many tears. 💬 A confession: “You weren’t part of the equation… and now I don’t know how to be without you.”

And just when her heart starts to steady, Cass knocks on the door. Erin sends her away. Because tonight? She needs Jay more.

But even with love burning across the distance… Even as they talk about kids, about laces, about someday— The pain is still there. The ghosts. The guilt. The past.

She wants to help. But he’s still holding back.
