Johnny Suh had come over to complete a school project. You didn’t know him too well though. You didn’t know anyone actually as you just had been transferred to this new school and you didn’t know anyone neither that you care to.
“Oh hey.” You said hearing him open the door to your room. “Your mom let me in.” he flashed his beautiful smile at you, you just nodded softly towards him.
He stood only a few feet away from the door not knowing what to do. “Should I-...” he started. “Oh yes, of course. Sorry.”
You motioned him to sit at the other side of your desk as you kept writing. He tried his best to not make any noise for disturbing you. To him you looked so beautiful when you are in your concentrated mode, so he would do anything to not mess it up.
You barely even felt his presence there. You refused to open up to people because you knew you wouldn’t be staying long in a certain place as your stepdad was always on the move for his job requirement and you had no choice but to follow along.
“So, do you like it here?” he broke the silence. You looked up meeting his charming gaze. You would have blushed at any other time but as you broke the eye contact you didn’t.
“Yeah, it’s kind a cool around here, but I don’t get attached to any place.” You weren’t fishing for any pity or what, you just simply were speaking your mind, your reality of life.
He leaned back on the chair and crossed his arms, “Why’s that?” he asked. No one had usually been interested onto my mind. “I move to different city on every few months, the shortest is a month, while the longest I’ve been staying in a certain place is around 7 to 9 months. So I don’t usually have time to know or care about the place.”
He looked as if he were thinking. “That’s it.” He said before standing up. “We’re going to a park right now.” He smiled and held out his hand for you to grab.
You looked up and frowned your eyebrows. “Excuse me?” you crossed arms. “Yep. We’re going to a park right now!” he said before grabbing your arm and dragging you out of the chair.
In complete refusal and wanting to annoy him you late all your weight falls to the ground. “Argh!” he said as your body laid on the ground. He tried to drag you but all ended up was mopping the floor with your hair. You laughed unconsciously. He froze.
“Add!” You widened your eyes. He sat down beside you softly without letting go of your hand. “That was the first and the most beautiful sound I have ever heard from you.” You smiled again with a little bit of blush this time.
“You are gorgeous all way around huh!” he said teasing me. “You should have smile more often from now on. Maybe if you tried to attach yourself to a place, you would unconsciously.” He lectured. “Just like how I unconsciously attached my heart to you in just a week knowing you.” He said while smiling deeply towards me. When our eyes meet, all I could felt that my cheeks were burned like hell.
It’s the start of something new of my life. It feels so right to have this kind of certain feelings towards something in my life for first time. It all thanks to this fella name Johnny that opened my mind and heart to brace myself in a new environment and it’s okay to blend in with new people. It’s all started with a smile curved that set everything straight.
