♥️♥️♥️ A few items of note for today, Sunday May 24th, 2020: Xavi's friend Taylor hooked us up with some real swell comfy chairs for our dining room area and one for my little #ArtStudio corner of the apartment. And it fits perfectly with my #ArtistDesk. So perfectly, that I decided to christian it "#ElChicano", after #WorldWar2 veteran and #ChicanoRights #Activist #RudyTovar. After all, I nicknamed the art desk "#LaGringa" after her namesake #NancyTovar/#NancyVonLauderback, Illustrator/Artist/#SaulBass #GraphicDesigner (as well as Vice President AND Director of Production before retiring!!!) #SaulBassAssociates (later #BassYaeger)/AND noted #Chicano #CivilRights movement Activist as well. The beautiful late 1950s/early 1960s era good old desk formerly belonged to Nancy, so I'm willing to bet that some very real iconic magic happened on this very desk! Xavi magically managed to buy me that desk for a real good deal from Nancy and Rudy's son Randy! #ElChicanoYLaGringa together again at last. 💕💕💕 Taylor also gifted us a real nice #BellaCrockPot and Xavi and I are test driving it and making our 1st #PotRoast together! Now just to wait 6 hours and 35 minutes to see how it tastes and goes. I, my taste buds, and stomach buddy are very excited. Thank you @anythingwitty! 😋😋😋 And last, but not least, one of the weird habits I picked up during #QuarantineLife was cutting the heating instructions of the #FrozenPizzas we've been buying and taping them onto the back of the pizzas. Why? To make sure that the pizzas fit in our limited freezer space. Prior to dating me, Xavi never bought frozen pizzas before because they just would not fit... and as a frozen pizza afficianado I vowed to make them fit- so this was my solution. Sorry not sorry.
