Closing my practice this morning with #sirsasana also known as #headstand and regardless of how it looks I'd like to share something about it. This posture happens by the end of practice, which I'm glad not to share because it would be embarrassing. Why? Well, we are all humans and the goal of yoga is union of mind, body & spirit. If we were perfect and aligned we wouldn't need to practice, right? In my case, sometimes practice gets tough. Particularly now that I'm doing my best to commit to a 6 days practice no matter what's going on in my life. My body feels lazy and heavy, my mind is overloaded with thoughts and my spirit filled with emotions and feelings that are being healed. You put that together into a small portion of space (the yoga mat) and it can be overwhelming, particularly at the beginning of practice... Sometimes I connect so well body with breath and pay attention to my bandhas & drishti.. But some others I focus on doing my best and allow the energy to flow so it keeps me going. I offer my practice to the higher power, to the universal energy to keep me moving. And then, time passed & I am closing my practice. There is when I realize that what matters the most is doing it regardless of how it looks or feels like. Everyday doing the best I can. I choose to stop how I could be judged, as the only one judging me is my own self. It's about commitment and patience. Instead of evaluating what I did wrong or how unfocused I was, I choose to let go of the negative judgments and instead feel content with the fact that I practiced! Same with life. We all have relationships that need healing, we might have life events or things that happen that can put us down.. But in the mind it is all about where you place your attention. If you focus on the bad part of your day or cling into a tough relationship with someone/something instead of being grateful for something good that happened and the relationships that are healthy, then you'll always be under a cloud even if the day is sunny and beautiful. So just fill yourself with love. Love 💖 love 💖 love All you need is love Om ॐ 🙏 #chicayoga #livinglavidayoga
