CAN WE BLOW THESE 8 CANDLES TOGETHER, BY THE WAY?
Fabiyogini's Fabulous Blog turned 8 today!
If I’m not wrong, this is the only social media plattform that remains. All other crumbled, were affected by the social media burst that intimidated and ended all hopes of success. I, too, have been on such a difficult transformation myself. But despite it all, some has survived and endured: Tumblr! And I’m still alive, fighting, living. It’s been 8 years already! A tumultous, fun, exciting, life-changing, and certainly magical eight years! Eight years since the beginning of a new project, a new journey, breaking free, letting go, shedding away, finding myself, living la vida yoga- not as expected but as it was meant to be! Yeah, I’m a unicorn! Yes I am! Magical and fabulous! Will I engage this year in my blog? One day at a time, we’ll see. But today, I celebrate the beginning 8 years ago! I celebrate the birthday of this blog, and I’m happy it remains. As a reminder that I too, remain.
These said, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MYYY BLOOG!
My healing pregnancy experience
My healing pregnancy experience
Throughout this year, as I wrote more often some months and later withdrew myself from technology, I’ve been experiencing being pregnant. So many lessons have I learned along the way.
Being a yogini (woman who lives in yoga), I have been working on developing awareness and consciousness for a few years now. And my passion for cooking also helps me understand how things can change shape, flavor…

Rome wasn't built in one day - Appreciating efforts more than results
Rome wasn’t built in one day – Appreciating efforts more than results
Are achievements more important than anything else? Are we supposed to regret, feel sorry, ashamed and make excuses about not achieving or finishing something?
I DON’T THINK SO!
I’ve been having these glimpses of “shame” about not being able to focus and write any posts for like a month. And every single time I went through a different kind of inner trip. How can I place so much attention and…

Come as you are
Come as you are
I once got a fortune cookie that said: “show your true face to those who really matter”. It has always kept me thinking, how many masks can one have to blend in? I believe it is better to take the masks off. If you come as you are, maybe there will be more rejection as what you’re used to when wearing masks. But you will be wearing the truth, being the true you. I believe this way we can all save…

We already have what we need Sometimes we feel overwhelmed and we suffer. So much we may feel we lack when we pay attention to the outside world. Yet the truth is that we have already everything we need: inside us!
Trusting the power of meditation
Trusting the power of meditation
Just because it feels “odd” or the mind wanders around is not a proper excuse to say no to meditation. What if meditation was advertised on YouTube like medicine, a product or a website? Would people then practice it? I’m not going to quote today what has been researched, written or experienced about the benefits of meditation. But when I say that it is a good thing, I’m not just saying it…

Being grateful for every second
I am grateful for life. I am grateful for being so much loved. I am grateful for being so blessed. My husband said to me today: we have to appreciate every second we are alive. There’s so much going on in the world, in this country, everywhere. It just makes me realize how lucky we are to be here right now. We must be grateful. So my message today is about contentment and gratitude. Aloha

Blooming spring
For those of us in the northern hemisphere, March 21 marks the spring equinox and the official beginning of spring. At last, the cold, wet and dark days are in the past. But without them, things wouldn’t be as beautiful as they now are. Every season has a reason. Also our lives, our thoughts and relationships have seasons. So why stress so much about it? Letting things be, allowing nature and…

Choose positive thoughts
I was reading today an article about how a positive or negative mind can affect us and those around us. Choosing to stay positive can be developed. The first step is identifying a negative thought, then consciously replacing it by a positive one. The more positive we choose to be, the more grateful and appreciative about life. Repeating ourselves affirmation is also key to stay positive. Here’s a…

Why I love this prayer about patience
Patience pays, wait! Let the hand of God work for you. The One who has created you, let Him create all the environments, circumstances, and facilities and faculties. Yogi Bhajan.- listen to it: https://youtu.be/cjNBzaNxCwE I love this prayer because it reinforces confidence in oneself. Trust in the creator and in the development of our lives. Don’t we feel sometimes “unworthy” or frustrated…

Accepting all that you are regardless of others
It might be probably easy for someone who is the way others are. But when someone is different, the oppression over being someone else is big. I mean, when everyone you’re close to thinks, acts, behaves and makes things differently. Absolutely different! The “peer pressure” becomes a true oppression. Because when the herd does things only their way, that means that if you do them “differently”…

Creating something new
I’ve been thinking on how to cook a version of custard that I could actually eat without regrets. The main ingredient of custard is dairy, and I can’t eat it because it causes an allergic reaction. I turn red and my skin gets inflamed. Besides, I must admit that I prefer vegan dishes. Even though this one needs an egg yolk, which I still kept as part of the recipe because it’s the only way I know…

Yoga Gem of the day
Yoga Gem of the day
“To practice Yoga, we must become craftsmen and -women of great skill and sensitivity. We master the art of Yoga as we gain self-knowledge and the capacity for self-transcendence. Searching deep into our mind and heart, we learn to exceed our ordinary boundaries and discover that we are immeasurably vast, surpassing even Nature itself. We realize that Nature, grand and fascinating as it is, is…

I love you
Changing perspective through love. Feeling the wholeness of love in every cell in our bodies. When there are so many things, people, circumstances, societies and actions to blame; holding on to consequential pain hurts us the most. It builds up frustration, bitterness, anger. Shifting from pain into love is almost like an act of freedom. Because we set ourselves free from the pain, we stop…

How long can a seed take to sprout?
How long can a seed take to sprout?
Gardening, growing food, herbs, flowers and plants is a nourishing experience in itself. It also is very magical to soak and sprout beans. The process of transformation from a dry bean into a live being is always miraculous to me. However, to eventually be a good gardener/grower requires constancy, attention, patience, love. Understanding that not all seeds will sprout, that some small plants…

At last, the moon is almost full again
Maybe people don’t realize that they can look at the sun everyday, as long as weather conditions allow. Yet, one gets to look at the full moon once a month. Even though I’m not an expert in the topic of astrology, this month without moon has been very introspective and it has slowed down whatever was going on in January – a month with TWO full moons. It seems clear to me that the moon does affect…
