there's a mini convention thing at the mall i'm at rn and there was a booth selling bootleg cars toys and oh my god. one of the boxes had a PNG of chick hicks on the side and my eyes literally locked on and zoomed in on that box. genuinely my peripheral vision went blurry and the chick hicks box was the only thing in focus 😭😭

really specific chick hicks headcanon/theory: he gets fixated on the time period twenty years before the present

wtf does this mean?

i HC that chick was obsessed with greasers and 50s americana when he was a kid in the 70s. it got way worse when "grease" came out and that's why he styles his hair as a pompadour 😭

then, as part of getting himself established as a real genuine piston cup racer in the 90s, he got his branding and typography professionally designed with inspiration taken from the 70s (IN MY OPINION!!!!)

then, by cars 3/the 2010s, he's into the 90s, which is why this spectacular photo exists :p

so logically this means that chick is going through a y2k phase right now hehe
