Balcony Ticket
The storm of a millennium kills the liveliness of a simmering landscape but the old withered tree still holds on, being a channel to feed all the wrath of gaud to the electrically obese mother under the weather. The distant bump is seen to the naked eye when the lightning's caprice so wills. The reel is stuck. The sound is off. Choicest incestuous accusations mobilize those nitwits behind the reel.
The stench of damp wood, clawed out foam and dried semen is gradually creeping into my awareness. Movies are for escaping. But it would seem people escape into this putrid reality where they really like to belong and live their cinematic delusions. Everyone wants to live on-screen, the perfect life, and then flee into this thing which isn't so perfect, because they all like it here.
The tree is good to look at—sort of mysterious. I'm done. I bolt, the door behind me now. The chick-pea seller's eyebrows go, "Huh?"
Roasted Chick Peas
I found this recipe on pinterest and decided to give it a try. I love chick-peas and like to snack on them all the time, and they are a good source of fiber and protein. You can find the recipe I used here.
I used cayenne pepper and a little chipotle powder and paprika to season mine, and they turned out pretty good. I will probably experiment with other spices, perhaps taco seasoning. But they are a nice alternative to potato chips, or I like to put them in my salad instead of croutons.
