Mods of the blog! if you like, tell us about your kitties! I want to know about them!
Totally! Here’s a sneak-peek into the lives of the mods’ current OCs.
Mod Ribbon:
Following a recent blizzard, Grizzlystream has decided to retire. She’s more than earned it! Originally a lonely travelling loner, she’s come a long way in MountainClan and has built herself one of the largest families on the mountain. She’s outspoken and fiercely loyal to her loved ones. Grizzlystream is looking forward to a nice retirement spent fishing and gossiping with her beloved mate Redpath.
Cherryfur is a young MountainClan warrior that is still struggling to find his footing. He has big ideas on what his life should look like, and nothing— himself, his clan, his mate, or his kits— is quite living up to expectation. He’s starting to buckle under the pressure of clan gossip and rumours that his new litter might not actually be his.
When the Colony was accused of Dantefire’s murder, the usually friendly Whiskeypounce became a loud and angry voice against them. This wasn’t without consequence, as his new political fire inadvertently led to the death of his mate and broken relationships with the remainder of his family. It’s hard to mend things after dedicating so much of himself to fear, hate, and politics, but he’s trying.
Chickadeewatcher just recently became a daylight warrior. Partly to distance themself from the politics and illness ravaging TimberClan, but mostly to continue their study of twoleg monsters. As a result of tragedy in their youth, Chickadeewatcher is a little quiet and a little reserved, but get them talking about monsters and they could go on for hours!
Mod Thistle:
They started off the roleplay without any living family to speak of, but through their adoptive mother Redpath as well as two children of their own, these days Lupineheart spends most of their time cherishing the chance to spend time with a now-extensive family. Her younger sister and former apprentice Beespots recently had a litter of kittens, and Lupineheart has been taking every chance she can get to help her dote on the new kits. She's lost a lot of cats in her life, including her two mates Martenstorm and Magpiethroat, and is always happy to tell stories about them to help keep their memories alive.
Meadowthroat has been burdened recently by the loss of several friends, and worries for his remaining loved ones as MountainClan faces cold season hardships. Ever the optimist, he is trying to think on the bright side and be thankful his mate and kits have, at least so far, avoided or pulled through the illness plaguing the clan. He was also recently named mentor to the apprentice Puffballpaw, and has been focusing hard on her training to try and distract himself from thinking negatively.
Tansylight has just been given their first apprentice, Oxpaw, and teaching them takes most of their focus these days. They're a bit of a pawful sometimes, but eager to learn, and Tansylight is determined to do the best he can to train them. He highly values the idea of being a dutiful warrior and strives to do everything he can for his clan and family. His mother Inkpool recently retired, and he's been working harder than ever to help look after her.
Princepaw wants to be the best warrior TimberClan has someday, and has been throwing himself into his training with all he's got. Rather than the bigger problems the clan faces, most of his concerns revolve around complicated feelings about his beloved littermate Merrypaw and worry for his friend Pennypaw, who seems to be biting off more responsibility than he fears he can chew. Princepaw is still quite young, and yet to really understand what his lofty goals of outshining his clanmates truly entail.
Mod Rufus:
Although Haskapkit had a rough start to life - being born premature, spending her early days ill and her parentage the subject of speculation - she has her whole life ahead of her and she doesn’t appear to let tough beginnings slow her down. While she has her whole life ahead of her to figure out who she is right now she’s shaping up to be a clever little thing, the quintessential “Why?” child with an insatiable curiosity who has her clanmates questioning the world around them… or perhaps just why no-one thought to invent moss-ear plugs sooner.
Nightflight is an unexpected desert transplant, having found herself adapting to a strange environment the polar opposite of hers (emphasis on polar) just one familial argument and an unintended car trip later. For a long time her ultimate goal was to find a way back home, but during that time she developed close relationships with cats within the clan and even found new love causing her to abandon the task and set down roots where she’d landed.
Mod Bash:
Caterpillarpaw is a serious and disciplined apprentice of Mountainclan. She feels comfortable only in the company of her two fathers and two brothers, and struggles to fit in with their peers. They work hard to impress their mentor, and have been working overtime to keep their family well-fed this leaf-bare. A little bit of a nerd, they have a soft core, but they are much too frightened to let their guard down and keep up an unbothered and sometimes unfriendly front
Huckleberrywhisker is part of Grizzlystream and Redpath's large and growing family. He is a respectable warrior who cares a lot for both his clan and his family. Very friendly and easy-going to all, he's got a big heart and strong work ethic, he's currently focused on training his apprentice and working hard to keep his clan fed and healthy through a particularly hard leaf-bare.
Cinnamoncloud is a daylight warrior of Timberclan approaching the age of retirement. She’s commonly regarded as someone with a bleeding heart, and her kindness has been detrimental to her this past year, as it has served her. Following the loss of her mate and best friends, she is rebuilding her reputation, and trying to nurture the relationships with her remaining family.
Merrypaw is a rambunctious and enthusiastic Timberclan apprentice. With roots in both Timberclan and the Colony, this young molly certainly keeps her clanmates on their toes. Loud-mouthed, a little disrespectful but generally quite happy-go-lucky, Merrypaw is beginning to learn about the trials and tribulations of warriorhood.
