My dad's Wyandot, he was adopted as a child in the early 50s by a white family that adopted him and another Native girl to raise as trophy children. My mom is distantly Kickapoo, dating back to the mid 19th century, but otherwise she's primarily of Germainic-British-French descent.
EDIT: While he was adopted as a child, he was taken at birth in 1947 and placed in orphanages and foster care. My father was not a "wanted" child, and spent an equal amount of time on the streets of Detroit as he did in orphanages and foster care.
