Question for Trans peeps

I am not cis but I have not/probably won’t go through a medical transition so I have a question.

In a fantasy world do you think that some just being able to drink a potion and instantly transition is offensive (ignores, invalidates? Sorry I can’t think of the right word) the real life struggles of transitions or would you rather read/see a world where it could be that easy?

I’ve seen a couple opinions on this but not from a trans person so I love to hear what y’all think

I actually HC Lily as a lesbian but I wasn’t quite sure how to articulate the changes from canon but Ill give it a shot.

Harry is still biologically hers and James, but not because they were experimenting or whoops or whatever.

Lily and James volunteered to be donors for Remus and Sirius.

I feel that Sirius may have had stuff happen to make it so he can’t pass on his “traitorous” genes by his family.

Remus doesn’t have the facilities and even if he did there is no way that he would risk passing on his wolf bits to a child.

James and Lily were watching him while Wolfstar was off on a mission for the Order. 

They both were willing to die for Harry without hesitation. The four would have sort of co-parented each others children regardless of who’s they were anyway. 

Sirius was still arrested for going after Wormtail and Remus was silenced because nobody wanted a “dangerous” werewolf raising a child b/c thats crazy and abusive muggles would be soooo much better.

I will also do an AU where Harry was raised by Dadfoot and Moomy, with James and Lily being his Godparents and aunt/ uncle all at once.

Misc HP HCs

These are various harry potter HCs that I posted on an old blog (mostly) that I ended up deleting but I still really like these HCs. 

Again most of these I came up with but a few are popular theories. I can’t remember if I said this on my lgbt HCs but do not look at canon for any proof. I’m just having fun, while this applies to my canon, it doesn't have to apply to yours 

The story of HP was written by Ron and Hermione after Harry past because people were making Rita Skeeter-esque books about him. 

And then she who must not be named took that story, edited it some, and published it for muggles 

Hagrid was a Slytherin 

How would anyone believe he opened the chamber of secrets if he wasn’t 

Harry was given a hand for the Weasley’s clock on his wedding day, as were the other partners of the Weasley kids. 

Hermione was so infatuated with Lockhart because he was the only one she knew that got famous because of how smart he was (sorta) 

Remus had been offered the job of the DADA teacher but he told Dumbledore that anyone would be better than him 

So Dumbledore hired Lockhart to prove his point moot.

Luna is one of the only Ravenclaws to never get locked out of the dorms

She also is the only one that goes out to make sure nobody is locked out before turning in 

Dudley and Harry end up as sorta friends a few years after the war. Dudley has 2 children that end up as magic kids 

I also think he would probably marry a witch or wizard 

Either was he get kicked out by his parents when he starts dating them, so he stays with Harry for a while before finding a place with his partner 

Neither of them speak to his parents anymore 

Harry do become an auror but after working only a year the stress and PTSD gets to him so he quits. 

He gets hired as the dada teacher basically the same day 

I support teacher!harry so much!!

Ron also tried to become an auror but could not take even the schooling 

Ended up becoming an assistant healer in the children ward at St. Mungo’s 

After the kids are born, he works most at a stay at home dad and occasionally works with the twin (yes Fred is not dead) 

I do like that Hermione was the minister in the CC but I don’t really think thats what she would do. Maybe she would work as a liaison between different creatures. 

She is exceptionally well spoken and is a favorite among the centaurs, goblins, and house elves. (others as well but these are the ones she works with the most) 

Draco was bitten and became a werewolf instead of a death eater in the 6th book 

Lavender is also now a werewolf 

She actually did have seer abilities and now works as the divinations teacher

And the most important... Hedwig survives 

Super stupid but honestly Hedwig’s death is the one that gets me the hardest ;^; 

Mcgonagall, Hagrid, Sprout, Flitwick, and Madam Pomfrey all still hold the same positions 

No way they lived through the Maurders and thought that the Weasley-Potter, etc kids were going to make them retire

Trans HP HCs: Henri

So I have 4 main trans characters Luna, Hermione, George, and Henri (Fleur) 

This set is for Henri as I said I would elaborate on LGBT+ HCs

Henri was born part Veela and with that came assumptions 

Veela are beautiful, feminine, and sexual creatures (This is why I HC harry as ace, b/c he is not really affected by them) 

Also just want to say that true veelas only exist in adult form, there are no children veelas (To humans.. they cannot be seen by humans until they are mature, dispite however they may appear to people)

Human/Veelas are not inherently sexual but can become that way if then want when older 

Henri had this idea places on him from a young age that he was supposed to be feminine and beautiful and that what the only way he could get what he wanted 

This was his grandmother’s speeches and he greatly admired his grandmother and wanted to be like her 

His parents, especially his mother, did not agree with what she was saying but did not discourage Henri from following his grandmothers advice. 

Due to this, he grew up repressing his feelings that he might not be as feminine as he was supposed to.. or how he felt so awful looking in the mirror looking at his long eyelashes, chest, or long hair. 

Once he was in his late teens, he completely repressed these feeling by flirting and dating to keep himself occupied. 

He continued to feel empty with all these men because he just had to smile to them and they would fall all over themselves to bye drinks, flowers, dinner, etc. 

But then he found Bill. A man that he could smile at without Bill melting into a puddle and falling all over. 

Henri was the one that had to chase Bill a little bit and he loved every second of it.

Bill and him did start going out and almost immediately were engaged (much soon then they told their families about)  

He still kept silent about his feelings but couldn’t help feeling safe if not a touch jealous hearing about George’s and Hermione’s transitions. 

Henri still gave birth to his children. With every one his dysphoria came closer to the surface 

Until after Louis was born 

He could not take it anymore 

He came out to Bill shortly after Louis was born

And Bill was nothing but supportive!

He had a bit of experience of providing support from when George confided in him first that he was trans

Bill help Henri choose his name and was with him during each potion master meeting (aka HRT)  

He help Henri tell his family as well as the Weasleys. 

Their children were 10000% supportive, as were the Weasleys, and Henri’s immediate family 

Unfortunately, his grandmother immediately cut contact, which he eventually accepted for the better because he realized that it was his grandmother’s teachings that made him feel the need to repress his true self for so long. 

TL;DR Henri was raised that he needed to be hyper feminine and the idea that he might want to do masculine things let alone was a guy was blasphemy to his grandmother (his biggest role model growing up) so he repressed his feeling for like 30 years.
