SCREENING: The Drone at the 70th World Science Fiction Convention 9/2/12
I mentioned a couple months back that my film, The Drone had been invited to screen at Chicon 7, a.k.a. the 70th World Science Fiction Convention and now the screening is right around the corner! Here are the details:
When: Sunday, September 2nd at 3:06 p.m.
Where: Hyatt Regency Chicago, 151 East Wacker Drive, Chicago, IL 60601
Grand Suite 5
Ok, now the bad news. In order to gain access to the con on a day pass, you'll have to pay a $70.00 admission fee. I know, ouch. However, if any of you out there are mega sci-fi fans, this con is a can't miss. Here is the official description:
Chicon 7, the 70th World Science Fiction Convention, also known as "Worldcon," is the premier gathering of authors, artists, fans, dealers and more in the world science fiction community. Worldcon covers all the genres of written speculative fiction including science fiction, fantasy, horror, slipstream and alternate history, as well as science, media (movies, television, anime, and online), fanzines, gaming, costuming, filking, and more. More than 5,000 attendees from more than thirty countries will be attending the five-day event.
If you do decide to make the trip out, let me know! Together, we shall watch the heartwarming android, Oliver, discover the dark secret behind his creation!
SPECIAL: In honor of the event, starting at Chicon and for ever after, I will give away a special Drone song theme written by the film’s composer, Nathan Parks, absolutely FREE. Consider it a token of my appreciation for your support and patronage here at my site. More good news to come!
