Places a kiss on the boy's hand. "Here. The office gave me a lot of these, so I thought I'd share."
It wasn’t exactly uncommon for customers to act rather strangely towards Sidney. He’d never particularly understood why people, especially girls his age, tended to treat him differently than they would his father, but he usually didn’t mind. After all, they were usually exceptionally friendly towards him, and he was always alright with that. This, however, was much “friendlier” than anything he was used to, to the point that Sidney simply stared at the woman in confusion. The Salandit perched on his shoulder seemed to understand the gesture a little better than he did-- its smirk grew to be almost twice as big as normal, as if it were laughing silently at him.
“Uh, n-no offense, but, um, I don’t think that’s an acceptable form of payment here, sorry,” Sidney stammered with a nervous laugh. “I mean, I’d accept it, but I don’t think my father would be too happy about it.” Yeah, that was the way to go, just play it off with a joke, that’d be much better than simply standing there in confusion and asking her what she did. That could come next.
