Persona 4 is literally the only game where I like every ship between the main squad. I made a chart of every single possible ship and I like literally all of them, even the ones that don’t fit into my personal sexuality headcannons. But I’m gonna talk about my faves.

  Souyo? A perfect ‘just guys being dudes’ to ‘oh crap I’m gay’ romance. Their constant support of each other and mutual fear of being alone lends itself to a great basis for a long term relationship. Plus, they call each other partners. It’s amazing. 

Yukichie? Childhood friends who build each other’s confidence, and they can fit into a butch/femme dynamic. Buff GF + Princess GF, Yukiko literally calls Chie her prince. I love that for them. They give spring wedding in a garden vibes. It’s what they deserve. 

Kannao? MLM trying to overcome homophobia x FTM dude trying to overcome transphobia, I love them. The constant destruction of gender norms and heteronormativity is awesome. Their entire dynamic is adorable. If you draw them with a big height difference, I love you. Kannao is iconic and Atlus did them both so dirty. 

Rise x Yukiko x Chie? Just gals being pals and being super-good-friends together! Totally no WLW subtext with any of them! I definitely don’t think about Rise showing off her girlfriends everywhere she goes, Chie acting as a bodyguard whenever they all go out in public, or Yukiko being in a constant state of being flustered because she’s dating the two most wonderful girls in the world. 

TLDR; Persona 4 ships are great, but especially these ones.

Persona 4 Characters at the Gym

Because I miss the gym...

Kanji and Chie are workout buddies! They spot each other and have a friendly competition going on surrounding who can do the most push-ups. They motivate each other and monitor each other’s gains, but it’s a no judgement partnership. 

Naoto, Rise, and Yukiko enjoy the view of their respective boyfriend and girlfriend. Rise does so shamelessly and cheers on Chie from across the entire gym. Naoto does so discreetly but can’t resist the urge to ‘bring Kanji water’ (in reality an excuse to get an up-close view of Kanji’s muscles in action). Yukiko is a blushing mess the whole time and is somehow LESS subtle than Rise. 

Teddie tries to lift and fails miserably. He has no idea how to use the leg press and uses it on his arms. He has never heard of ‘warm ups’ and starts a higher weight-level than he should. The only thing stopping him from breaking all of his bones and tearing all of his muscles is Souji/Yu and his power of common sense. 

Souji/Yu and Yosuke go along because they like the shakes and smoothies. They hold chug-off contests with kale smoothies, winner gets a kiss on the forehead. Plus, watching Yukiko bury her face in her hands while Rise yells about how hot Chie is and Naoto gets more water for Kanji every 5 minutes is pretty funny.
