Classic Copycats Part 2: Princess Madeleine’s white crocheted dress→ Worn in France on 28th July 2005
Where? In 2005, Princess Madeleine spent the summer holidays in her parents’ villa in St Maxime, a beautiful area in the French Riviera with long ties to the Swedish royal family. During the trip, then 23 year old Madeleine travelled to nearby St Tropez for an evening in trendy night club Les Caves du Roy. The club is a renowned celebrity hotspot to this day and two of the Noughties’ biggest partygoers - Paris Hilton and Tara Reid - were spotted on the dancefloor that same night.
What she wore: Madeleine highlighted her rather strong tan with a white dress which would be perfect for a hot summers’ day. The piece was from Swedish high street label H&M and features flared sleeves and crocheted insets at the neckline, bust, and hem.
Copycat: It’s unlikely that we’ll be able to go on holiday any time soon but that doesn’t mean we can’t make additions to our summer wardrobe as the weather gets nicer! Although Madeleine’s piece would have been quite affordable, it is obviously no longer available but I’ve identified a great copycat for you to snap up!
