The good old village
(Child!Logan and Child!Patton)

Note: I got a mental picture based on this image below (which I don't own), and I got a little more inspired than I thought ^^;. It's more idea spilling than story, but if it inspires you, please @ me.
Logan put on their navy long blue sleeved dress over their black shirt, adjusting their lace bowtie under their collar. Then they dressed up their thin and delicate long legs into knee-length white stockings before slipping on their black Mary-Janes.
They combed their short hair with their hand before fixing their glasses.
"Ye goin out kid?" Their grandfather called.
"Yes sir." They said politely.
"How many times did ah tell ye ta call meh "Gramps"." The old man laughed. "Yer not in town with their stuck up manners! Yer a kid! Loosen up!"
Logan was a little bit intimidated.
Their parents left them here during the summer vacations because they couldn't take them in their business trip, and Logan felt they were in a completely different world.
At first they thought people here were rude and unmannered.
Well some were, while some were actually welcoming and caring, unlike the usual...cold ambiance they were used to have during business receptions.
"I-I'm going outside....G...Sir!"
Graham sighed softly.
"Well be careful kid. Ah don't wanna get yelled at if something happened te ye!"
Logan bowed, before going outside and closing the door.
Well trying to.
"Slam it!" Graham called.
"But it's rude..." Logan mumbled.
Their grandfather pulled on another door, causing the draught to slam the main one.
Logan yelped.
These vacations were really going to be very long...
-
The afternoon was pretty warm, cicadas singing in the background.
Logan was reading a book on a bench under the trees shade. Their skin was as white as porcelain, and they really didn't know how their parents would react at the slightest sun kiss.
"Hey look! That's the snobby city kid!"
Logan sighed softly.
They didn't want to stay indoors because of their grandfather working in their workshop, the noise giving them headache.
But that would mean getting harassed by the other kid once outside.
Being from a rich family was already a target on their back. But wearing dresses with short hair, no physical traits giving any clues about their gender, and they were the perfect scapegoat.
"Hey! Leave them alone!"
Until they met him that is.
"Woah! That's the skin freak! Let's go!" The kids ran off.
"Are you okay?" The new comer asked.
"I-I'm fine. Thank you Patton." Logan smiled softly.
-
Patton Morahearty.
Quite a very interesting person if you asked Logan.
Physically and personality.
Patton had a very dark skin with freckles, very dark hair and one dark brown eye.
Why "one eye"?
Because Patton had a particularity.
On the left side of his face, he had a white spot making look like it was taken from someone else and stuck on his face. The skin here was white, his eye very pale blue as the hair were undyed.
That was why people called him a freak.
Logan just saw a friend.
Personality speaking, Patton was a real ball of sunshine. Always sunny and full of energy, also, a palette of emotions.
He could jump from sad to happy with a finger snap.
At first, it was hard for Logan to stand him. Almost labelling him as annoying.
But soon enough, they were growing closer from always escaping the other kids.
-
Today, Patton had a surprise for Logan.
"Hey hey! Lo! Look!"
Logan looked at him.
Their eyes widened.
Patton was wearing his usual blue shirt, but instead of his shorts, he was wearing a yellow skirt with suspenders, and their silly green frog rain boots.
"What do you think?" Patton smiled happily, with his missing child tooth.
"Is...is this a joke?" Logan asked, a little coldly.
"W-What? No!" Patton panicked. "I wondered how it would feel, and to be honest I found it pretty comfy!"
Patton tried to twirl around like Logan did when they told him they practiced classic dance.
And of course, Patton failed miserably and ended up on the floor.
"Ow!"

Id: final scene where Logan and Patton are smiling and laughing on the bench with a box of cookies, Patton wearing bandaids on his knee, left forearm, and right cheek.

Of Frog and River

Soon the kids arrived to Patton's spot what he dubbed the "Frog River".
Despite disagreeing with their grandfather, Logan couldn't help but constantly watch their steps. Because, yes, they didn't want to ruin their clothes. Manners after all.
Patton, for his part, was happily jumping in the puddles.
"Lo! Look!" He pointed at a frog ribbitting on a rock.
The black kid approached the edge of the river.
"Patton, whatever you plan to do..." Logan started.
"I just want to catch Mister Frog!" Patton inched closer.
"Patton, be -"
SPLASH💦
"... careful."
"I got him!"
Logan blinked and saw Patton actually holding the frog, a waterlily resting on his head was he was sitting in the river, all wet.
Logan couldn't help but laugh with him.

BING BONG
BING BONG
BING BONG
Patton was relentlessy ringing the bell, until a swear luckily censored by a loud crash echoed through the house.
The boy stepped away from the door right on time as it abruptly opened on the old Graham chasing a cat with a broom (no harm done, the cat was way faster)
"Ah'll get ye one day!" The old man yelled before noticing Patton.
"Oh hi, Chocolate boy. Ye're here fer Logan?"
"Yes!" He nodded happily.
"Logan!" Graham called. "Yer Choco Boy friend is here!"
"Can you not call him that?" Logan came down the stairs, pretty much flustered and and angry.
Patton didn't seem bothered at all, since coming from the old Bells, it was pretty affectionate.
"Hello Patton." Logan greeted, adjusting their already wrinkleless dress for the xth time.
"Hi Lo!" Patton chirped happily
"So, where are ye taking their majesty today?" The watchmaker asked.
Logan was more than eager to go away from the house.
The constant teasing from their grandfather because the way they both have been raised was completely different was starting to get on their nerves.
They liked each other, really.
But the culture barrier was getting unbearable.
"I plan to take them to the river!" Patton said.
"Woah woah, are ye sure? The stones are pretty slippery and it's pretty dirty. Ah don't want their highness to get mud on their precious socks."
Logan took Patton's hand and walked away.
"Don't be late fer dinner! Yer invited too, Choco Boy!"
"Thanks!" Patton called before walking alongside Logan.
-
No, Logan is not abused (well I don't think they are?...)
I just wanted to picture when you're sent at an unknown parent place for the vacation and you have to deal with them, including the blatant culture shock when they have been clearly raised differently.

At first for the grandpa name i thought it as an easter egg / joke
As in Graham Bells
But then,
Graham Blue-Bells
Giving Logan Blue-(Bells)-Berry
Idk ^^;
