Edwin looked up as his dad entered the room. He immediately noticed the bright, excited smile on Ford's face. He looked like a child on Christmas getting exactly what he asked for.
"Yeah? What's up? Why do you look so happy?"
Ford smiled even brighter.
"I have a better place for us to host your party at. It's bigger, too."
Edwin tilted his head with a frown.
"Isn't that expensive? How did you afford it?"
Ford sat down beside his son, beaming.
"That's the best part. It's free. Not only that, it belongs to me."
"I thought you didn't want to host it at the Mystery Shack because you didn't trust them there."
"It's not the Mystery Shack. It's somewhere new. It's near the Mystery Shack, though."
Edwin blinked confusedly and Ford just beamed. He stood up.
"Get your siblings. I want to show all three of you. It's just what I've been dreaming of. You'll love it!"
Edwin had never seen his dad so excited about something before. It was surprising. But he rushed out of the room to find Liam and the child that had yet to be named like he'd been told. Maybe this really was going to be the perfect place.
