- You were the youngest child of Loki. You did not know much about your mother, as you were raised by your father and siblings. Their care and love made you never question it. It was also because your mother's absence in your life was never made into an issue around your ears.
-You asked your father about her once, and he told you that she was a lovely woman with a mischievous nature. She unfortunately didn't survive the labor of giving birth to you.
-Your father had taught you that pregnancy and childbirth can be risky events, so you never grew up thinking it was your fault. You were pretty smart for your age, so you accepted it.
-When Odin and the other gods learned about you, they had you live on an island that was isolated from the other realms.
- You didn't think much of it at the time, as you were really young and saw your island as your home.
- You and your father were really close, as you shared a love for mischief and causing pranks. Your favorite pastime would be competing to see who could come up with the most creative prank.
-Through these, you learned a lot from him. However, due to his own duties, he could not spend much time with you.
- You loved your brothers. You were especially close to Fenrir. The big wolf spent most of his time with you as he disliked the gods and often claimed that placing you on the island was a way of imprisoning you because they were afraid of what you could become. It sounded strange to you because you didn’t see your island as a prison at the time.
- You also saw Jörmundgandr often, as he literally lived in the seas. You would sometimes run up to the cliffs to wave at him when you saw his head pass by, or swim in the beaches, where he would pick you up and allow you to use his head as a jumping rock. He would sometimes appear in smaller forms, and you two would nap together with you snuggled in his coils.
-You knew you had a sister named Hel and three other brothers. But since they couldn't come visit you, you would create little art projects and drawings and then ask your father to give your little handiworks to them.
-Your father was always happy to oblige, and sometimes you would receive answers from them. Some bones from your sister, horseshoes, and artworks from your brothers. It always made you happy.
- You thought your life was good. But then, when you became a young teen, Fenrir came to you and told you to get on his back--- telling you that you were leaving your island. Uncertain, but listening to your brother, you rode on Fenrir's back as he took you to a realm no one knew about.
-Fenrir explained that things were going to change in your original world, and that you have to live in freedom.
-Confused, you tried to ask about it.
-Fenrir only shared that he, your father, and the rest of your siblings had a role in an event called Ragnarok. However, you did not, as you had a different fate.
-He told you that your mother had been part of a trickster folk and through her and Loki's blood, you were destined to become something not even the great Allfather can predict.
-Fenrir then gave you a mask, saying that when the gods learned about you, they separated your godly powers and gremlin nature into it. With this mask, you can access it and use it whenever you need it.
-You asked if you would ever see them again. Fenrir told you the truth --- that you will likely never see each other again --- but convinced you to stay, as it was the wish of all of them that you would be able to live freely.
-You embraced your brother’s large head as a final goodbye. Fenrir allowed it as you were one of the only beings he truly loved. He then departed to ensure Odin and the rest of the Aesir gods could not find you. His final words to you were to remember your father’s teachings.
-And then you were alone in a strange new world. It was frightening as you had never seen anything beyond your island. You wept for a moment out of fear and sorrow for your family.
-However, as you began wandering around, your fright and sorrow turned into curiosity.
-There were endless woods, giant mountains, and animals you had never seen before. Soon, you began exploring enthusiastically.
-You even began eating all the different kinds of new berries and mushrooms you stumbled upon. Though you quickly learned that you shouldn’t eat some of them because they gave you pretty bad stomach pains. Thank the gods you weren’t an ordinary person, because otherwise, you would likely be dead. They made you pass gas constantly as you explored.
-Perhaps you were mushroom intolerant
-While relaxing in a tree and eating some berries you found, the non-poisonous kind, you looked at the mask Fenrir gave you. It had a green wooden texture and an odd shape.
-Thinking of Fenrir’s words, you thought about putting it on and accessing your godly powers.
-However, before you could put it on, you heard sounds beneath you.
-Looking down, you saw a person surrounded by these very ugly people that looked like goblins from the fairy tales. Except taller and meaner looking. They were frightening the ordinary person with sharp metallic weapons. It looked like they intended to hurt the person.
-You tried to think what to do.
-An idea then popped into your head. You took out a pouch, a gift from your father capable of storing items of all sizes and shapes. You browsed through your many trinkets --- also gifted by your father--- and then pulled out a small anvil.
-When one of the ugly creatures was right beneath you, you dropped the anvil and watched it land right on the creature's head.
-There was a loud metallic bang, and the creature fell down unconscious. It caused you to snort when its friends looked at their comrade and the anvil in confusion.
-You looked through what other things you could drop and then pulled out many rotten banana peels from your island. You winced your nose when you smelled their rotten scent. You have been meaning to take them out.
-You dropped the banana peels around the ugly creatures. At first, they appeared confused, then began slipping when they stepped on it. One of them banged their head against the normal person's wagon.
-The creatures now stood on guard, avoiding the banana peels. Two of them then forcibly dragged the ordinary person to the woods.
-Startled for the ordinary person, you climbed down the tree and followed them.
-Hiding behind bushes, you watched the two creatures forcing the normal person to kneel and quiver before them. You tried to think quickly of a solution to help the person. Observing your surroundings, you had an idea and acted quickly.
-After setting your traps, you pulled out a tiny alarm clock from the pouch. Twisting the notch, you then set it loose as it began ringing and jumping wildly. You then hid when this caught one of the creature's attention.
-One of the uglies went to investigate, leaving the normal person alone with the other ugly.
-With this opportunity, you pulled out a jolly chimp from your pouch and then threw it over the bushes. The monkey toy immediately began playing its instrument while making monkey noises in front of the uglie and the normal person.
-The uglie raised its weapon at it, cautiously approaching the toy.
-With the uglie distracted, you tiptoed past it and toward the normal person. When you tapped the normal person's shoulder, they jolted and looked at you, but kept quiet when you raised your finger in front of your mouth and then signalled them to follow you.
-But the uglie who went after your alarm clock then got its foot snatched by the string you set there, causing the creature to be dangled upside down. It yelled.
- This caused the uglie distracted by your jolly chimp to look over and see you and the normal person sneaking away.
-You and the person began running as the uglie gave chase.
-You told the person to follow your lead, and then you led the uglie to one of the traps you set.
-You two jumped over a trap strip, and when the creature tripped on it, a beehive landed on its head. Angry bees immediately swarmed the creature, causing it to scream in panic and run into trees since it couldn't see through the bee nest.
-This caused you to laugh.
-You and the ordinary person then tried to jog back to their wagon, but then you were surrounded by the remaining creatures, who held their weapons at you. One of them made a warding sign as if you were some kind of cursed forest spirit.
-You tried to think what to do. Maybe you should put on the mask?
-But then, your stomach churned. Oh, looks like your stomach wasn’t done with the mushrooms.
-You tried to hold, your stomach releasing loud noises. The uglies looked at you, confused, and demanded what you were planning.
-Unable to hold it in any longer, you turned your behind toward them and released a potent gas cloud.
-Some of the ugglies' faces frowned as they then fell to the ground, knocked unconscious. The rest of the ugglies coughed and yelled in panic, saying stuff about your gas being poisonous.
-They quickly ran away, leaving you and the normal person alone.
-The ordinary person looked at you in bewilderment after coughing a few times and swinging the air away with their hand. You told them that you ate a bad mushroom.
-For saving their life and their wagon, the person offered to give you a ride to the closest town. You agreed enthusiastically, having never met other people before. After retrieving your trinkets, you climbed onto the wagon as the person led the horses onward, and you spent the journey asking question after question about the world around you.
-From the person you learned that the ugly creatures were actually called orcs, and that this land was known as Middle-earth.
-As the wagon rolled down the road, you couldn't stop looking around. There was so much of this new world left to explore. For the first time since saying goodbye to your family, you found yourself smiling. Maybe this strange new world wouldn't be so frightening after all.
