At first glance, this painting looks simply like a portrait of a young girl holding a cat. Look closer and you'll notice that it's also a self-portrait. The artist is seen in the background, reflected in the mirror.

No one ever asks me to draw things, so when a random blog with no content tried to commission me I thought, “Why not?”

They wanted a realistic, full body, color portrait with a background. They didn’t seem familiar with my typical style at all, but I thought this could be a fun challenge. They wanted to pay me but I said no thanks. Maybe it was almost a scam, but it was an entertaining way to spend a couple hours.

Update: No message upon completion and sending the piece. Oh well, here you all go.
