Hello! I've hit a writing slump. Can my mutuals help?

I figured out that Aziraphale/Crowley hits (some of) the same emotional buttons for me as Norrell/Childermass does. Like don’t get me wrong, A/C is definitely a much much happier ship than Childerell, but there are Similarities that are Important to my Brain! 

It’s a bit of an “as you wish” dynamic where it starts out with one character being completely devoted to another-- with the understanding that their loyalty may never be reciprocated by the somewhat self-involved and/or seemingly oblivious object of their affection. (I poked around on tvtropes to see if there’s a name for this trope, but I never found it! Do any of you know an established name for this?)

Excellent ship to talk about

Ship It - I sure do!

What made you ship it? It was the intensity of their relationship from the show. And I'm a total sucker for servant/master dynamics. And Childermass is so devoted to Norrell.

What are your favorite things about the ship? - The fact that they're both raving introverts and total nerds. How if they were closer in age and this was a modern high school au, they'd be the misunderstood goth and nerd duo that always sit together in the cafeteria at school. They're also definitely an old married couple.

Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship? - I don't think so. There aren't a whole lot of differing opinions on childerell to my knowledge. I tend to write it ace, but I've read some very hot childerell smutty fics too. I hc that Childermass is secretly a mess over Norrell, but hides it really well, and Norrell is possibly aroace, or ace, alloromantic yet extremely oblivious to Childermass' feelings. Books are Norrell's true love. Meanwhile, Childermass pines stealthily. Is that unpopular? I have no idea.
