have you ever taken a vacation?

the snort leaves him unbidden ; the whisk he’d been using to mix batter with is brandished & pointed in @identimfied's direction ; aimed harmlessly at the apex of his brother’s sternum. purposefully over-dramatic for flair. “haha, very funny - yes, i've taken a vacation.” except, as he furthers that train of thought, does he realize that each instance that comes to mind was more of a respite than a true vacation. a break in the mundane - a chance to relax and just be himself with his friends. all of which involved at least one or two of his fellow titans.

dick’s expression twists ; lips pressing taut & eyes narrowing on the brunette. he supposes, the time he’d been dismissed from his role as robin could be considered a vacation. an impromptu one - out of his control but, yeah, even that had been short lived in hindsight.

there had been that time where he, roy, donna & wally had all crammed into a car & driven around the east coast. shooting the breeze ; idly fighting over the radio & just talking. about anything & everything that didn’t have to do with work. it had been nice. not exactly a vacation & yet it had been exactly what he needed at the time.
