Awwww, thank you so much, childoftheages, for asking me this; because an awful lot of things make me happy.

For instance:

being a personal tutor brings me so much happiness it almost makes me breathless to think about it. Probably part of that reaction is due to the fact that it all might be ending very soon. 

being able to go and see the River Thames whenever I like. 

I live by a large park, so whenever urban life seems too much, within 5 minutes I can be walking along the bank of a lake and watching the ducks. 

I am always deeply thrilled when birds come into my back garden, because a combination of a neighbour getting 4 kittens and a family of magpies moving into one of our trees has frightened off all the birdlife we used to get. Today I saw a robin!!

opening a freshly  acquired magazine that has never been opened before. Ah! So much joy and satisfaction when it is a magazine you adore.
