Chronus

Xevalin is one of the eldest of the Children, and wields the powers of time itself. Though most Children refer to this power as “Chronus”, it’s fundamentally not much different from other time-based powers. It only differs in complexity.

This power automatically grants Xevalin a passive ability to exist outside of time. As such, he is able to travel to any time period at will, having no bearing on the timeline itself. (Or in the event he does, it simply creates a split timeline.) Time travel is strictly limited or forbidden in other worlds.

This ability also allows him to remember any experience that happens to him, no matter the scenario. (e.g: non-canon, scrapped timelines, retcons, reboots, etc.)

Xevalin is also able to pull countless versions of himself from anywhere in time, including alternate and doomed timelines. These alternate selves’ personalities tend to differ drastically. Furthermore, through means of time compression, Xevalin is able to have past, present, and future versions of himself, others, or even objects exist simultaneously.

Using a special stopwatch gifted to him by Nebula, Xevalin can also create localized time rifts, distorting the flow of time for specific areas in various ways.

Despite having all of this power, even Xevalin himself still struggles to fully comprehend or control all of it. This power should not fall into mortal hands, by any means.

Aurora

Omi’s primary power.

Aurora is, simply put, a divine fusion of Light and Plasma, taking on the likeness of an aurora. Its primary colors are typically blue and green, but it can appear as any number of colors, typically as a transparent gradient.

Light being its primary component, Aurora is extremely versatile in what forms it can take. This light can also be (semi-)solidified to conjure weapons, body extensions (wings, blades, horns, etc), clones, and even other creatures.

Moreover, by leaving traces of power (say, an Aurora butterfly) in different locations, Omi can “see” through its perspective by focusing, and may even warp directly to it.

However, this has its limits. Sustaining each manifestation takes energy, and the more there are, the bigger they are, or the further they are, the more taxing it becomes.

For offensive capabilities, Aurora is most often used for beams of varying sizes, but by amplifying its electrical component, it can be used for many interesting strategies.

There are very few limitations as to how Aurora can be used, and limitless possibilities. Truly dangerous in the right hands.

Starlight & Stardust

Resal’s primary powers.

Stardust is a curious powdery stream that comes in various colors, composed entirely of microscopic, star-shaped particles with spacial properties. By wrapping objects or beings with it, they can be shrunk or expanded to a certain extent, made lighter or heavier, locked into place, and many other potentially strange effects. A blanket over an area can change gravity entirely.

Starlight is the main offensive force, which can be mostly be described as star-shaped energy. These stars can be conjured in large numbers, and controlled individually via Stardust currents. Beams can also be fired through them, often wrapped with Stardust.

Starlight’s properties are similar to Aurora, but rely more on heat and combustion than electricity. As such, it tends to be far more aggressive and explosive.

Skyrift

Shiren perceives wind as countless fibers and strands, and manipulates them in various ways to control it. He has the power to open a tear in these strands, and move directly through them from one point to another, through way of a pocket dimension. This dimension contains naught but a void of wind, and a single island within the eye of the storm. This is his main power, referred to as Skyrift.

By using Sky rifts, Shiren can travel or transport others across long distances, store items, or even attacks. However, if there is a narrow airspace between two areas, he and others may feel lightheaded upon exit. Areas with no direct flow of air between them (e.g: Underground) are inaccessible via Skyrift.

The appearance of these Sky rifts is either a cyan opening in the sky with a green portal/gateway, or a green opening with a cyan portal. Both are used for entry and exit points. The size of these rifts can range from the width of the entire sky to -literal- pocket size. They may appear in any shape.

Once they’ve been passed through, the tear on both sides are “sewn” shut.

Aeon

Kairen’s ability is referred to as “Aeon”, but has a few other names as well, such as Anima or Ethos. Most simply know it as “Soul” or “Spirit”.

Kairen is a special case among the Children, as they are two separate entities (Kai and Ren) bound to one soul. They can merge into one being or split into two at will, but can never stray too far from each other, lest they risk being unable to use their power.

Kairen’s power also has two applications. Their preferred method of attack is conjuring a twin bow out of spirit energy, and firing off salvos of near-limitless spirit arrows. They cannot fire indefinitely, but recharging takes mere seconds.

Their other application is melding spirit energy into another form: An artificial soul. These souls are nothing like the ones that make up the Children; they’re empty and transient, lasting only a few minutes at best. They are able to move independently, however. They can be used to take on the forms of people, acting as decoys, or they can be used as familiars, discharging spirit energy in other ways. But Kairen’s most preferred application is using them to possess inanimate objects, bringing them to life, if only for a few minutes. They often use this ability near toy shops and stores.

Like Aurora, Aeon is a highly versatile element. However, unlike Aurora, it has low power on its own, and can only truly be released in short-lived bursts.
