@childrenoftiime replied to your post:
johnny might need his head deflating right now. Where’s his mother when we need him?
meanwhile romana is suddenly becoming very touchy feely and insists on singing songs with him while wrapping her arms around him
@childrenoftiime gets an alien with a specific request
“I want a drink,” Cass announces as she sets herself on a bar stool, “I don’t care what it is, but it needs to be about yea tall,” her hands form the shape of a tall tumbler, “and it needs to have a colorful umbrella in it.”
“I’d also appreciate it if it were RED.”

It was only once he actually had hold of his new puppy that John realised he may have not told his partner in life about it. Oh dear. That wasn’t good, was it? As cute as Barbara was - and she was really adorable - Gordy was unlikely to be pleased with this situation.
There was time to think once he got home but, John being John, he got distracted by playing with all of the dogs as soon as he took his shoes off. How could he not? They were too sweet to ignore! Unfortunately, this meant that when John heard Gordy’s key in the lock on the front door, well, the only think of could think of doing was throwing a blanket over the newcomer to the house while the other dogs rushed off to greet the returning man.
“Shhh!” John hissed and the squirming lump under the blanket - an action that annoyingly received a small yip in response. “Shhh!”

“Hey, Gordy, let’s get another dog.”

Romana had been meaning to do something like this for a while - listen to more Earth music. She was most familiar with the culture of the 1970′s because of the Doctor, so she decided to go a bit further to see how it evolved, to the 1980s. She happened to land in London in 1988, having been vague with her instructions to the ship.
Still a little unused to how fast Earth’s culture changed, she ended up overestimating and dressed in an outfit more akin to 1990: a pair of very light high waisted jeans with pale roses printed all over them, a soft v-neck sweater in the same colour as the roses tucked into her jeans, a pair of chestnut leather Chelsea boots, and a leather belt in the same shade keeping her pants cinched at the waist. It was close enough that she wouldn’t turn too many heads, but fresh enough to likely be unintentionally trendsetting. After tying her hair back in a half ponytail with a matching pink ribbon and donning a pair of rose tinted Lennon glasses, she grabbed a chestnut leather purse and was off. The TARDIS, staying behind her, was disguised as a 1980s style walk-in police box. The cheek.
Compared to other times she’d been on Earth, this time seemed very... loud. The colours were all quite bright and everything was starting to explode technology wise. It was very fascinating to Romana, and she got distracted on her path to listening to the new songs until she found a music store selling records and CDs. She didn’t buy any, but she did listen to several of them.
It was nearly night by the time she left the store, and she wandered around for a while until she picked up on some absolutely incredible sounds. Following the music, she found herself at a club where people could play up on the stage. Currently there was a very handsome man commanding the stage who clearly knew his way up, down, and around the guitar he was playing. It was mesmerising - enough that she went right up and sat down to listen near the stage, never taking her eyes off the instrument. It was even more so when he began to sing, and Romana decided then and there to stay for as long as whoever on stage was playing.
HOSPITALS. The Doctor really isn’t a fan.
However, sometimes such a setting is necessary --- especially when so much artron energy has been detected here. It’s unusual and the Doctor really didn’t expect it to be located in a hospital when he first picked it up on the scanner. But it is, as of right now, unexplained and unknown to the Doctor, and he doesn’t like that.
So, a disguise. When it comes to hospitals, there are two main options. Staff, or patient. If he went with staff, he might actually be expected to do some work and know what he’s doing, which isn’t a very safe option for anybody involved. So, he’s decided on patient, and here he sits, in a wheelchair, currently feigning severe dizziness and irregular heartbeats, combined with a few minor injuries. The minor injuries are real; he got into a fight with someone on the street while he was thinking up this plan and walked straight into them. Probably just what he deserves.
He’s put on quite a show, really, in comparison to the minimal effort he usually goes to for disguises. As far as he knows, he’s just waiting for a bed to become available --- it just needs cleaning and setting up, he thinks (though he didn’t really listen). A perfect time to gather some basic information.
