To commemorate the International Day of Children in Afghanistan, we are featuring a photo of a displaced refugee girl in Kabul. She is one of hundred or maybe more cases and examples of children in Afghanistan losing the opportunities of a standard life and the facilities of primary and elementary needs, especially education. According to a report recently published by @unicefafghanistan, 71% of children out of school in Afghanistan are females, compared to 28% of males and only 32% of adult females (ages 15-24) are literate, compared to 61% male adults. In addition, at least a quarter of Afghan children between ages 5 and 14 work for a living or to help their families. #Kabul, #Afghanistan.
