Colour Studies - Part 1/4
I’ll post more of these as they are still satisfying to look at, but not all of them. (There's so many ahah)

Value studies – Part 4/4
The final value studies I did at my internship. If you compare these images to the studies I did 3 posts ago, there is a huge difference. The studies were easier to do and became quicker to do as well. Though at times it was tedious, I’m glad I did them.
Found some progress photos of an ink study from highschool. I don't think I ever finished this one (poor Deadpool).

Colour Studies - Part 3/4
To this day, I hate drawing hands. But they are an essential feature with most character designs so I had to learn somehow. Hand studies weren’t as bad as I thought they were going to be and it did teach me a few hand drawing techniques (even if it is for the simplified Disney style hands). I’m grateful I did this short exercise as I learnt a lot from it.
There's been a lot of controversy around the Inktober challenge this year, due to this a lot of people aren't participating in order to take sides or stay out of the issue. But I believe Inktober is about the art community, and supporting any artist to continue challenging themselves to turn drawing into a daily habit or improve on their skills, not about the Inktober creator himself. So I will be participating this year, not to show my support for either party, but to challenge myself.
So I've already thumbnailed out my ideas for this Inktober, and played around with what inks I have. I know that traditionally you're supposed to keep it black and white but I just can't help myself in adding a pop of colour! I'm thinking a kind of peachy-orange, similar to my branding.
This was one of the first environments I designed. My understanding of colour was very limited at this stage, so this design doesn’t go past the values. Though I think it might be a fun exercise to revisit it and add some colour now!
Here’s some more thumbnails I didn’t end up using for those of you wanting to use them for inspiration (if you can decipher them, the composition isn’t the clearest but that’s something you can fix!)
