I'm pretty shit with advertising for things I like but hell hath no fury like a woman scorned because I will be bitching out chillblast and three until the day I die and frankly that level of hate and pettiness is beautiful to me

sending the new computer back for full refund
21 July - First full day with new computer 2.0. The company arranged for an exchange, which arrived at the very start of its arranged delivery window, and the next day - which I chose to devote entirely to set-up and acclimatisation - everything went fine; the power-line net adaptors fired up as described first time, leading to nice fast downloads for Ultima Online, Star Trek Online, and - at last - SUBNAUTICA, in all its glory.
So, here I am, a step closer to getting my YT channel back on course. It may be a while yet, but the BIIIIG step has been overcome. I may need fibre broadband to stream, however, but that’s hardly a major obstacle. Been needing an upgrade for a while...
22 July - It’s fucked. Two reboots in quick succession, then after allowing it to “rest” for half an hour, switched it back on, and *fizz* *crackle* *flickering red lights*...
I. Am. DONE.

Chillblast Fusion Silencio Review
Ever got interested about ultra-quiet performance PCs? All the peaceful-environment-junkie, for sure, are all ears (or eyes). The Dorset-based system integrator has sent in a range of low-noise gaming rigs over the years, most of which have been well received, and is looking to follow-up with a 2015 model dubbed the Fusion Silencio. Check out this Chillblast Fusion Silencio review!
Price
Priced at around PHP60,000, this new addition to Chillblast’s Silent System’s range are for those techies who are expecting near-silent operation with excellent performance. Interesting, right?
Packaging
Take it home securely with Instapak Quick foam supporting the internal and delicate components. It’s quite no-fragile with a reasonably good-looking enclosure. Unlike the fancy ones with all the bright lights and flashy side windows, Fusion Silencio comes with a sleek-looking rig. The all-black aesthetic front, top and side fan mounts are neatly covered. The side panels and front door are lined with a noise-cancelling material.
Dimensions and Positioning
This Chillblast Fusion Silenco’s dimensions are 220mm x 507mm x 509mm. With this, it suggests that the base unit will need to live beneath a desk, but be mindful of how you position it as the front door can only open in one orientation which is to the left. Take note also that the power button is a short way down the chassis’ front face.
Components
The core components are Intel Core i5-4690K processor overclocked to 4.3GHz, 8GB of Crucial Ballistix Sport DDR3-1600 memory, and dedicated graphics courtesy of an Asus GeForce GTX 970 Strix. This all sits atop an Asus Z97-K motherboard, while power is supplied by a semi-modular Cooler Master V550 power supply. Intriguing enough, huh? Here’s more interesting observations: Chillblast Fusion Silencio has equipped the CPU with a Cooler Master Hyper 612 V2 air cooler. Ever wonder why it keeps noise levels down to a minimum? We suspects it’s because of the firm has reverted to the air.
Storage
Chillblast Fusion Silencio is provided by a single 250GB Samsung 850 Evo SSD; there’s no hard disk or indeed optical drive anywhere to be seen – such a modern-day rig, I must say! Also, take a look at the free bays where you can add drives if you feel the need.
The Main Selling Point (but wait…)
The Fusion Silencio’s primary selling point is the near-silent computing, but how, really, quiet? Well, it is quiet especially for an overclocked gaming rig, but not as much as close to silent as we were anticipating as you can still hear the system’s other fans when the PC is idling. (But as long as you’re not using it, it must be fine.) This is just a minor criticism though, Fusion Silencio is ultimately a very quiet system, and if you’re accustomed to rigs that sound like jet engines while you’re gaming, Chillblast Fusion Silencio will be a gift from the heavens.

Sporting a next-gen chipset, the latest from Chillblast is the slimmest 17-inch gaming laptop around but is worth your cash? Read our Chillblast Helix 17 review
Every device with even the slightest nod towards mobility is increasingly tending towards racehorse-chic. None of us want the massive phones or beefy laptops that litter the annals of technology and so our devices are getting ever thinner…

Anyone in the UK thinking of getting a new gaming PC, I heartily recommend Chillblast. They were amazing when I bought my gaming rig and theyve been nothing but helpful dealing with my blown graphics card.
