“You have desecrated the Hive. The Hive is sacred.”
And then, far far off, beyond the godswood and the haunted towers and the immense stone walls of Harrenhal, from somewhere out in the world, came the long lonely howl of a wolf. Gooseprickles rose on Arya's skin, and for an instant she felt dizzy.
wolves howling shows up ALL the DAMN time in arya’s story. its basically a constant factor in her chapters. its follows her throughout her journey whether she’s in the forest or a castle and into her very dreams. she howls back both as a wolf and a girl. she doesn’t always hear it with her ears either sometimes arya can *sense* it. she can feel the rage and pain of her pack; like with grey wind at the red wedding. nymeria’s howl warns arya of danger and gives her strength. she can hear wolves calling to her even from inside the walls of harrenhal. it reminds me of that quote “the starks know no music but the howling of wolves” the sound of her pack is arya’s favorite song

Even when I go out to happiness, I know well now that I'll always come back home.
